✨About the song✨

This song, The Woods, is all about reckoning and retribution and how those that exploit others for profit will one day have to face what they’ve done. Their sins are so vast they’re carved into the very core of the earth and even if humans struggle to fight back, Nature itself will revolt!

This song is the first on my debut album ‘The Woods’! I can’t believe I’m even typing those words, when I first started my journey on YouTube I didn’t think I could even write a song, let alone an ALBUM. This is by far the biggest project I’ve ever attempted and the most of myself I’ve ever put into a project! I really hope when you listen to the album you get to know the girl behind the villain songs a little bit more!

🌎WORLD DOMINATION STRATEGY🌍

Now down to the real stuff, how do we take over the world? World domination isn’t easy but I believe in you. Once we’ve taken over the world maybe then Fig can finally be the figure skating chef of his dreams!

This stunning new video for Nina Simone’s iconic track “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood” blends the artistry of hand-drawn animation with the expressive energy of contemporary dance, creating a unique and moving visual experience. Through the animated interpretation of choreographed dance, the song gains a new dimension, visually amplifying the timelessness of Simone’s honest and poignant message.

This breathtaking piece is cross-medium collaboration between animation director Nevil Bernard and contemporary dancer and choreographer Fukiko Takase. Starting the process from Takase’s filmed solo dance performance of the song , the choreography has been fully interpreted through the use of expressive animated drawings, capturing its essence in a rhythmic and free-form style.

The identity-searching protagonist’s silhouette is purposely ambiguous and anonymous to highlight the universality of the feelings manifested through Simone’s struggles and unique performance. Throughout the dance, the protagonist plays with, fights against and ultimately embraces these conflicting emotions.
