Young MC (born Marvin Young) was interviewed by Arsenio Hall on October 3, 1989' During the interview, Young MC discussed his writing of the hit rap songs 'Funky Cold Medina' & 'Wild Thing', songs which were ultimately recorded and released as singles by Tone Loc. Arsenio asked Young MC why did he give away hit songs like 'Wild Thing' (and Funky Cold Medina) to Tone Loc to record instead of just recording and releasing the song for himself as his own single. Arsenio also asked Young MC exactly what is a 'Funky Cold Medina', and Young explained. Young also discusses his new rap song 'Bust a Move' and explains what it means to "bust a move".
