BG. Aka B Gizzle. Today’s feature is a guy that had one of the rawest deliveries ever heard on record period. To this day there hasn’t been another artist with his slowed down but always on beat flow that put him right at the top of a group that shaped my teenage years growing up in the late 90s, early 2000s. He Lil Wayne and Juvenile I thought could’ve formed the biggest 3 in hip hop of all time had some of the things we’ll talk about not happened. Since 2012 BG has been serving a 14 year prison sentence and upon hearing that news I couldn’t help but feel it was the end of what was a last straw at a promising career transitioning into the hip hop era of today. Before that BG was the clearest representation of Cash Money records and what made them so popular. In the late 90s and early 2000s, the gangster rap image was still very profitable if you could spin it and make it look a certain way. BG and cash money fortunate and unfortunately didn’t need to do that. By every account the image was real and mainly because of who BG was at such an early age.
