For decades, there’s been a long-running stigma against British rappers ..Especially in the States. The issue doesn’t necessarily come from their nationality itself because Americans have historically embraced anyone from the UK ..just as long as they’re fully “Americanized.”

But for British rappers whose culture hasn’t been shaped by an American upbringing, it often feels like they’re hitting an unfair ceiling when it comes to success in the U.S. And it’s definitely not because they lack talent. In fact, today, there are just as many impressive MC's coming from Britain as there are in the US, if not more. So how did we get here?
