Nikki Sixx, born Frank Feranna, December 11th 1958, in San Jose, California would come from what you could call the classic American Broken home. Raised by his single mother who was just 19 when she gave birth to Sixx, often spent more time partying than mothering, and by his grandparents after his father left the family. Sixx had spent many years trying to figure out what happened to his father. He seemed to have just abandoned the family when Nikki was very young, too young to even remember.
