Rapper Camoflauge was on his way in the rap game in the early 2000s, Until May 19th, 2003 came and everything stopped. He was gunned down in front of his Pure Pain recording studio in Savanna Georgia while walking with a toddler before being rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. For the entire Savannah this was a huge blow, as the city to this day hasn’t had their time in the sun in rap music, routinely dominated by the shine and attention paid to the giant of a neighbor Atlanta. Camoflauge though was special. Since a child everyone knew he would be something, as by 12 years old he could already sit and freestyle for hours on in, no pen and pad and no punching in like rappers do today. He had a gift for music, or as the ones close to him remember, anything he put his mind to . Camoflauge said he just wanted to be like the boys he saw on the street corners with the gold in their mouths and the fancy cars and fly girls always hanging around em. The hood dream.
