The Universal Hip Hop Museum in partnership with the City of New York, and the Office of Mayor Eric Adams announced a 12-month, citywide initiative to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop culture.

Roxanne Shante is one of the 1st Ladies of Hip Hop now Host of “Have A Nice Day” on LL Cool J’s Rock The Bells Radio. Born and raised in the Queensbridge Projects of Queens, New York City, Shante first gained attention through the Roxanne Wars and was part of the Juice Crew. The 2017 film, Roxanne Roxanne, is a dramatization of Shante's life.
