British R&B singer Mark Morrison had a great run in the '90s. His international breakthrough single, "Return of the Mack," became a Top 10 hit across Europe in 1996, and introduced him to the U.S. market. Although he became a commercial success nearly overnight, his career was plagued by run-ins with the law that, one could argue, cost him a chance to be more than a one-hit wonder.
