During our conversation he discussed hardships he faced in Oakland, catching his first case at 12 years old, having to find his way in the city when it came to his career, getting his start with music in 2015, having support from his friends as he was starting his career, the disconnect between the Bay Area music scene due to politics, working w/ Icewear Vezzo, Philthy Rich, OMB Peezy, Boosie and more, running his career without management, turning down label offers, cutting off loved ones along the way, being banned from performing in Oakland, the gift and curse of being selfless, his first major record “Keep It On Me”, witnessing his mom’s rap career growing up, his close relationship w/ his brother before his passing, coping with his grieving, music being a therapeutic outlet for him, advice to artists on handling their own career, opening up for Durk and NBA Youngboy, his new tape “In That Mode”, giving back to the community, & more!
