G. Dep sits down with VladTV for a candid look back at his Harlem upbringing, rise through Bad Boy Records, and the life-altering 2010 decision to walk into an NYPD precinct and confess to the 1993 shooting death of John Henkel. The rapper revisits the crack-era streets of Harlem, early battles with Cam’ron, Ma$e and Bloodshed, DJ Premier’s cosign, and his breakout run with “Let’s Get It,” “Special Delivery,” and the album *Child of the Ghetto*. He also reflects on working with Diddy, Black Rob, The Notorious B.I.G.’s *Born Again*, Craig Mack, Ghostface Killah, and the Bad Boy roster. Dep opens up about PCP addiction, trial, a 15-to-life sentence, prison at Elmira and Fishkill, his 2024 release, Black Rob’s death, new music including *Off the Count*, and his upcoming memoir.
