"My Funny Valentine" is a show tune from the 1937 Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart musical 'Babes in Arms' in which it was introduced by former child star Mitzi Green. The song became a popular jazz standard, especially in the rendition of Sarah Vaughan.
Sarah Lois Vaughan (March 27, 1924 – April 3, 1990) was an American jazz singer, described by Scott Yanow as having "one of
the most wondrous voices of the 20th century."
This concert at the North Sea Jazz Festival was recorded on 12 July 1981.
