Stephanie Mills Holds NOTHING Back on Michael Jackson, Diana Ross & Chaka Khan | The Jason Lee S

Stephanie Mills is finally on The Jason Lee Show, and the legendary voice behind “Home” is holding nothing back.

From her unforgettable years in The Wiz to the stories that shaped an era of music, Stephanie sits down with Jason Lee for a conversation full of truth, legacy, laughter, and a few surprises. She reflects on her close friendship with Michael Jackson, the memories they shared before the world knew them as icons, and why she will always protect his name.

But the conversation does not avoid the controversy.

Stephanie addresses the rumors surrounding her and Diana Ross, makes it clear there was never any beef, and explains why she is tired of watching Black women be pitted against one another. She also challenges Chaka Khan to another Verzuz, calls out the lack of respect given to real singers, and shares candid thoughts on the music industry, R&B, Lady Gaga, Oprah, Gayle King, Chris Brown, and more.

More personal than ever, Stephanie opens up about being proud to be a Black woman, aging naturally, and refusing to let anyone define her image. She speaks with love about raising her son Farad, who has Down syndrome, and explains why she never saw his diagnosis as a limitation. From his books and music to the joy he brings her every day, Stephanie reveals the motherhood journey that transformed her life.

She also talks about the icons she loves - Patti LaBelle, Whitney Houston, Beyoncé, Prince, Tupac, Diana Ross, and Luther Vandross - while giving Jason a master class in the power of honesty, loyalty, and protecting the people you love.

Raw, hilarious, fearless, and full of soul, this is Stephanie Mills reminding the world why legends do not fade - they tell the truth, sing live, and leave a legacy that cannot be duplicated.
