What Happened To '90s R&B Group Perfect Gentlemen?
In the 80’s, boy bands, New Edition and New Kids on The Block had one man to thank for bringing them to the masses, Maurice Starr. A singer and songwriter in his own right, he was a member of a couple of vocal groups beginning in his childhood. Unfortunately, they weren’t successful so, he eventually decided to focus on song writing and producing for other artists. In 1988, Maurice went back to the drawing board to create another teen boy band that would hopefully follow in New Edition and New Kids on the Block’s footsteps. Enter Perfect Gentlemen.
