"What I want to convey to those who come to my drum clinic is in part information, in part the benefit of my experience, hopefully some funny stories and revealing the human side of the reality of the music business and drums and drumming. I tend to be very open and loose about it. I only have a plan for the beginning and that’s it, just to open the clinic. The rest is all down to the audience. I hand it out to them and the rest of the clinic is basically conducted on the questions that I get. Most audiences are very good. They’re very forthcoming and it’s never a problem. Occasionally, you get the tough one, where they’re not so forthcoming, and then, you have to work really hard. They may also ask a question which, maybe, I feel is not relevant. What I do is I do the politician trick. If you notice, most politicians answer to a totally different question than that asked by a journalist. They weren’t asked that question but they want to be. It’s a good trick I learned by watching all these politicians on TV around the world. There’s a lot of that going on right now so we’re getting a lot of experience at that and a lot of practice. Otherwise, it is most important to make [a drum clinic] a fun event. At the end of the day, it is still a show and entertainment. There’s nothing worse than everybody getting really bored or too technical. I try to keep it very informative, with a lot of technical information, but I still try to make it fun for everybody so they have a good time.
When I was very young and I would go to a clinic, I never asked a question. I was too afraid to embarrass myself. I think people think: ‘I hope the question I have isn’t a silly question’. There really aren’t any silly questions because if the clinician is open and aware enough, he’ll make it so that that person isn’t embarrassed. He’ll take something from the question that is positive and useful."

Funny Marco welcomes Glorilla to this week’s episode of Cornbread TV. With her hit single “F.N.F (Let’s Go)” blowing up, the Memphis native has a lot going on with her career and her Glo Gang. She tells Marco how she started rapping after losing her voice in high school, but it’s not long before the mishaps start happening on set. Marco asks about some of her lyrics from F.N.F. and she tells us who are her ratchet-ass friends and what kind of car they were hanging out of. Marco calls a member of the production crew on set and Glorilla raps for him; he’s asked to repeat the lyrics and to explain to her why he’s not an FN. Glorilla tells Marco who the baby was in the video and confirms he’s FNF just like her. The show’s director gets caught by Marco eating donuts during the recording and Marco wonders whether he made up some of the information in his question sheet. Just before she is able to reveal who she has on the F.N.F. remix, Marco’s pet monkey shows up and creates a frenzy on set. Marco then brings out the closest animal to a gorilla that he could find, before finding out that his crew’s cameras weren’t recording and asking her to start the interview over. This doesn’t go over too well…

British Gambian artist Sona Jobarteh plays the kora, a string instrument that has been the preserve of men since the 13th century, passed down from father to son in a special set of families in West Africa for hundreds of years. That was until she decided to change things. After picking up the kora at the tender age of three, Sona has been playing for audiences across Europe, Africa and the United States since her 2011 album "Fasiya". She gained international success following her 2015 song "Gambia", which was released to celebrate Gambian independence. It became country’s unofficial national anthem with 24 million views on YouTube. The musician is in Paris to perform in the Afrocolor Festival.

As a founding member of group 67, LD is an originator of UK Drill. Now, after a stint in prison, LD is back and determined to take his place as the father of the scene.
Hailing from Brixton Hill in South London, LD began to achieve commercial success in 2015, with sold-out tours and millions of views on Youtube. He became in part notorious for his iconic silver mask and went on to release music as a solo artist.
In 2019, LD was arrested on drug charges and was given a 4 and a half year sentence, putting a temporary stop to his music career.
After serving 2.5 years in prison, the man in the mask is back in the game.
In this episode of Noisey Raps, we follow LD as he is released from prison, recording his first track and music video out.

British Gambian artist Pa Salieu first emerged on the scene when he released his debut single ‘Frontline’ in January 2020. The song quickly went viral and became the most played track of 2020 on BBC 1Xtra. Then, in February, only two months into his new found fame, Pa was shot in the head in Coventry City Centre, luckily he survived despite having to remove 19 pieces of bullet from his skull.
Pa hasn’t let the ordeal stop him. He’s released a debut mixtape to huge critical acclaim, and collaborated with unusual but exciting choices like FKA Twigs, Mahalia, Slowthai and Yusseff Dayes.

Hard Knock Tv's Nick Huff Barili sits down with Nipsey Hussle for in-depth conversation. Interview starts with Nipsey painting the picture of what his childhood was like growing up in Crenshaw. As the interview continues, Nipsey breaks down some of the stories that inspired his debut studio album Victory Lap including one of his brother burying 200k in the back yard only to have most of the money destroyed by mildew. Nipsey shares the grind that it took to this point and what its like to look back at where he came from, some of which he talks about on Blue Laces 2. A track that Lebron James premiered a snippet of on his Instagram. Nipsey talks about how athletes like Lebron and Isaiah Thomas get inspired by his music as he does from watching them play. Kendrick Lamar and Nip paid their dues to get to where they are. Nick reminded Nipsey that the first time Hard Knock interviewed him back in 2005 Kdot, Jay Rock, and Top walked passed in the background.
Nipsey gives advice to young artists sharing that its important to study your craft and own your masters. Nipsey breaks down keys to building wealth and how Rick Ross and Puff Daddy laid out blueprints for building an empire.
As the conversation turns to Nip's new album, he breaks down new track Hussle and Motivate that he calls quintessential Nip. Nipsey and Nick talk about FDT and how radio stations and djs haven't supported the track as much as they should considering the community outcry. Nipsey also talks about unifying Black and Brown on the track and standing up for Mexicans. Nick points out that the bringing together of Black and Brown communities through music has been missing for a while and how it reminds him of how Tupac would do that. Nipsey goes on to talk about how Tech and Hip Hop are alike and how artists need to start getting ownership in the tech companies they help get fans to because that is part of the valuation of the companies. A conversation with the founder of Tinder helped Nip better understand how a lot of tech companies get their valuation as companies. Nipsey points to what Dr Dre brought to the table with Beats and Apple Music as an example of artists recognizing the power of their influence.
