Black Sabbath - Sabotage | The Documentary Hotney 1 Streams • 4 years ago

Sabotage is the sixth studio album by metal pioneers Black Sabbath, released in 1975. It was recorded in the midst of litigation with their former manager Patrick Meehan. The stress that resulted from the band's ongoing legal woes infiltrated the recording process, inspiring the album's title.

This documentary looks at all the drama surrounding the band at the time and how shady managers took advantage of Sabbath's kind nature. The video also examines every song on the album and offers up unearthed facts some fans may have never known.

Jean "Django" Reinhardt (23 January 1910 – 16 May 1953) was a Belgian-born French guitarist and composer of Romani ethnicity.
Reinhardt is regarded as one of the greatest guitar players of all time. He was the first important European jazz musician who made major contributions to the development of the guitar genre. After his third and fourth fingers were paralyzed when he suffered burns in a fire, he used only the index and middle fingers of his left hand for solos. In spite of this disability he went on to forge an entirely new style of jazz guitar technique (sometimes called 'hot' jazz guitar), which has since become a living musical tradition within French Gypsy culture. With the violinist Stéphane Grappelli, Reinhardt co-founded the Quintette du Hot Club de France, described by the critic Thom Jurek as "one of the most original bands in the history of recorded jazz". Reinhardt's most popular compositions have become jazz standards, including "Minor Swing", "Daphne", "Belleville", "Djangology", "Swing '42", and "Nuages".

Pianist Chick Corea has lived many lives as a musician, from post-bop wunderkind to free-jazz maverick to fusion explorer to chamber-jazz eminence. That imprecise tally leaves out a lot in an expansive career — but, more to the point, it creates the false impression that Corea compartmentalizes his musical output, when the truth suggests something far more holistic.

Jazz Night in America caught up with Corea during a recent gig at Scullers in Boston — just across the river from Chelsea, Mass., where he was born and raised. He was on tour with a new trio he calls Vigilette, with Carlitos Del Puerto on bass and Marcus Gilmore on drums. The set list combined songbook standards like "On Green Dolphin Street" with originals like "Rhumba Flamenco," each number delivered with Corea's brand of articulate flair.

A few days after the performance, Corea sat down with Christian McBride — our host, and his longtime musical collaborator — for a collegial and far-ranging conversation. They discuss the first time Corea saw Miles Davis, an experience that changed his life, and one he recalls with absolute detail. Corea also reflects on the role of an artist: "We have a mission to go out there and be an antidote to war, and all of the dark side of what happens on Planet Earth," he says. "We're the ones that go in and remind people about their creativity."

Jamil started Gully Tv Dvd in Atlanta Ga. in 2005 after severing ties with Vickie Stringer's Triple Crown Publications where he served as Ms. Stringer's personal ghostwriter. #GullyTv instantly earned a reputation as one of urban media's first R-rated hip-hop platform's due to it's thoroughly detailed coverage of the now infamous "lovers quarrel" between Atlanta Mc Gucci Mane & labelmate/mistress "Mac Breezy" which ended up being one of Youtube's early viral hip-hop videos.
