David R. Styles (born November 28, 1974), better known by his stage name Styles P (formerly known mononymously as Styles[citation needed]), is an American rapper, best known as a member of hip hop group the Lox, alongside childhood friends Sheek Louch and Jadakiss. Along with the other members of the Lox, he is a founder of D-Block Records and was also a part of the Ruff Ryders Entertainment collective. In addition, he has released multiple albums and mixtapes as a solo MC. In 2002, he released his debut solo album A Gangster and a Gentleman, which contained the hit single "Good Times". The song peaked at number 22 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and received massive nationwide airplay in 2002.
Jason Terrance Phillips[1] (born May 27, 1975),[2] better known by his stage name Jadakiss, is an American rapper from Yonkers, New York. He began his career in 1990s as a member of the rap trio The Lox, managed by Ruff Ryders and signed with Bad Boy. After leaving the label in 1999, they signed a joint venture deal between Interscope and Ruff Ryders. He is currently signed to Def Jam and D-Block.

Jadakiss' debut solo album, Kiss Tha Game Goodbye, was released in 2001. He has released three more solo studio albums, another album with the Lox, and an album with fellow rapper Fabolous. In 2007, Jadakiss signed with Jay-Z's Roc-A-Fella and Def Jam, which, with Ruff Ryders, co-released his 2009 album The Last Kiss. Altogether, he has released five studio albums, most recently Ignatius in 2020.

Is it too late to start a video production company? I started mine 8 years ago and I thought the same way back then.
Going back 15 years though, when I graduated from film school, the market was not very saturated. The cost of entry back then was still pretty high. You can do events and maybe some corporate projects, but commercial work was going to the big production companies.

But around 2010, when the DSLR really took over the market and YouTube education was getting pretty good, more people learned filmmaking and got into the market. And then, a new film school would pop up every single week.

So all of a sudden, everyone in their 20s started a video production company. But here’s why I think it’s still plenty of room in the world of video production.

First of all, video is growing exponentially. Far more than people learning how to make good videos.
So the jobs in video production are going to continue to grow for at least the next decade. Platforms like Instagram are moving away from photo sharing to becoming video platforms. The short format is exploding with TikTok and YouTube shorts and brands and businesses have no idea how to utilize these platforms.

Second, let me just break down the numbers for you. In the US, there are roughly 6000 video production companies. That covers film, TV, commercial and corporate events.

If we just look at commercial and corporate needs, let’s look at how many small businesses there are in the US.

There are roughly 31 million. Let’s just say only 10% could use or afford a video to market their business.

3.1 million divided by 6000 is 516. No one could handle 516 video clients. The goal is to get a dozen or so repeating clients. Land a couple of ad agencies and a couple of Fortune 500 companies, and you will have a bigger video company than most.

Just based on those numbers, there is a huge amount of growth.

Finally! A music video behind the scenes many of you have been waiting on for a while now! In this video i run through a behind the scenes on set with Bonfice shooting his latest single 'Self Made' (Full Music Video Link Bellow). This music video was shot in a one location, controlled environment inside of a house with the exception of a 30 minute meet up with the artist to capture the scenes with a car to add to the video days after the initial shooting happened. In this video i go in-depth of my gimbal movements, handheld movements, simple yet effective lighting techniques, how i vibe with my music video clients on set and how you really don't need many resources to push out some great music video content. This is a very RAW 'Behind The Scenes' of how I go about's shooting a hiphop/rap/trap music video. This isn't a professionally set up shoot with thousands of dollars worth of budget.. This is a super raw, hitting the streets with a gimbal & high quality camera & shooting for a smaller artist. A lot of people think music videos are super tough to shoot but this video truly shows myself, the videographer/producer & the artist working together to make all of our shots work which takes a ton of stress away from shooting a music video.

We started shooting pretty close to sunset so I tried my best to explain what I was doing on set and how I was setting up each shot before we lost sunlight and why I was setting everything up the way I did. Again, this is a very raw shoot and VERY freelance videographer based. As you could tell at the beginning of the video when driving to the shoot I literally scoped out our last spot while looking for a parking spot.

All of this footage was taken off of a Panasonic GH4 shot either in 4k 24p or 1080p HD 60p while mounted on a full size DJI Ronin Gimbal.

Maybe you picked up some music video shooting tips, maybe you didn't. However what counts the most when walking away from this video is how laid back this shoot was and how a positive/confident artist & videographer relation on set is key.

Big thanks to the artist Bonfice & his homies on set for being awesome in front of the camera while I vlogged this shoot. Always a good time shooting with this group!
