Guy Sebastian - Antidote (Official Video) ft. Sam Fischer Hotney 6 Ansichten • 2 Jahre vor

Guy Sebastian – Antidote (Official Video)

Listen/Watch: https://guysebastian.lnk.to/complete

‘Antidote’ feat. Sam Fischer was written back in September 2022 and is the first collaboration from the pair. With plaintive piano, atmospheric guitars and complex drum loops, ‘Antidote’ was initially recorded at Guy’s home studio in Sydney.

Guy says of the single; “Sam and I had been talking about how music had shaped – and pretty much saved – our lives from such a young age, so we made this song about music being an antidote for us. Music is that central thing that pulls me back – all the time – into this place of feeling safe and grounded. I know I’ll always have my music and will continue to share it as long as there are ears that want to hear it. The thing that excites me the most is that the listener will have their own “antidote” and make it their story. Having our fans be able to be the main character in our songs is the thing that excites me most as a songwriter.”

Sam adds “Guy and I wrote ‘Antidote’ together at the end of 2022. Guy got the title from a friend's vows which is so appropriate because the song is about finding the kind of love that saves you. Whether that love comes in the form of a person or a passion like music or even self-love, it's rare to find and once you do it's life-changing and saving. Also just to say, two beautiful boys singing a power ballad about all consuming love is something that hasn't been done in a while and I'm stoked and honoured to be able to fill that space with one of the greatest voices on the planet, my OG idol, Guy m’fing Sebastian!”

LYRICS:

Verse 1:
Funny how I hate it when I’m here but
Here I am again
Like I was made to mend but mending
Never seemed to make it end

Pre:
Oh there you go
Making it all make sense

Verse 2:
It’s funny how you find the words I’ve never found a way to say
Find a way to make a masterpiece out of the mess I made

Pre 2:
Oh there you go
Making it all okay

Chorus:
You take the weight off my shoulder
You make it safe to get older
When I’m losing light
When I’m tippin over
You’re where I go
Whenever my feet miss the landing
You take me from stumbling to dancin
You’re where I go
When everything’s broken
My antidote

Verse 3:
You’ve taken every part of me apart and put it back again
And every place I’ve needed you’s
Exactly where you always been
I can’t remember living life before you
Oh how I adore you
Know everything would be in pieces if it weren’t for you
It’s funny how I almost walked away
From the very thing that saved me

Bridge:
In the hopeless
In the lonely
Ain't nobody that could know me like you know me
From my brightest to my darkest hour

When I'm frozen
In my weakness
I don't ever have to wonder where my home is
You're the brightest in my darkest hour
My antidote

MAYDAY ft Jude Deslouches
Auteur: Jude Deslouches
Compositeur Jude Deslouches
Arrangeur Jude Deslouches, Oswald Clerveus

Lyrics: Jude Deslouches, Oswald Clerveus

Ref:

MAYDAY
est-ce que tu pourrais m'aider
MAYDAY
je sens que je vais m'écraser
MAYDAY
J'ai besoin toi

Tour de contrôle mayday

Avant que je fasse tout sauter
