Lyrics:
Somewhere beyond, the never ending broad horizon
Is where we'll find, new worlds to claim and a red moon rising
All it takes is dedication, yes we burn down nations
Conquest of new dimensions, take everything we claim it all
The world is closing in, but we are ready
A fighters call, ready to give our all
We will drown in sin, but we're standing steady
Path with no end, a virus spreading across the land
Let's not pretend, that what we do is right, we got blood on our hands
Relax, relax, everything will be alright as long as you do what we say
Hand over everything you got, everything you have, all that you hold dear
The world is closing in, but we are ready
A fighters call, ready to give our all
We will drown in sin, but we're standing steady
Lasting taste of all your fears, violence is always near
No time to waste, let's go to work, let's go berserk
The world is closing in, but we are ready
A fighters call, ready to give our all
We will drown in sin, but we're standing steady
The world is closing in, but we are ready
A fighters call, ready to give our all
We will drown in sin, but we're standing steady

LYRICS
I fake a smile
But the truth is buried
Cause down underneath
My mind is going places
I never want to be
I know these lies are self-inflicted
But they won’t let me go
I know I’m feeling so conflicted
Can’t fight this war alone
Feels like I’m fallin’ deep inside my head again
How much can I take before the demons win?
I don’t wanna let go, just wanna let you know
That I am struggling
And I build these walls around me
To keep from going under
But they fall on me
And I’m defenseless
It’s all on me, gotta get a grip
Never thought it’d come to this
There ain’t no question now
I feel it coming down
My mind, searching for a better place
And I’m hoping it’s enough for me
Cause when the sunlight fades
And I am slipping away
It’s all or nothing, I need to find a reason to stay
I’ve got this sinking feeling that I can’t seem to shed
It’s got me numb to everything, now all I see is red
I'm losing my grip
Crack under pressure, keep pushing until I break
Claw my way out of this darkness that I create
Brick by brick I’ll seal myself away from this illusion
I don’t know how much more I have left to give.
And I build these walls around me
To keep from going under
But they fall on me
And I’m defenseless
It’s all on me, gotta get a grip
Never thought it’d come to this
There ain’t no question now
I feel it coming down (again)
Could you tell me how to make believe
That none of this is happening?
Making something out of nothing, yeah
Overthinking, I’m sinking
I’m coming down again
I can feel it coming down again

Dilla said "Pick a record to sample, any record" and the result was Erykah Badu's "Didn't Cha Know" from 2000's Mama's Gun. Let's recreate this song and talk about the story behind it.
(Also, at the end I said "The Common song Open Your Eyes" but obviously you know what I meant. Dilla sampled "Open Your Eyes" FOR the Common song "The Light")

The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory (commonly shortened to The 7 Day Theory or Don Killuminati and sometimes called Makaveli) is the fifth studio album by Tupac Shakur. Released under his new stage name Makaveli, it was his first studio album to be posthumously released. The album was completely finished in a total of seven days during the first week of August 1996. The lyrics were written and recorded in only three days and mixing took an additional four days. These are among the very last songs Shakur recorded before his fatal shooting on September 7, 1996. The album was originally due for release in March 1997, but due to his death, Suge Knight released it four months earlier.
George "Papa G" Pryce, Former Head of Publicity for Death Row, claimed that "Makaveli which we did was a sort of tongue-in-cheek, and it was not ready to come out, [but] after Tupac was murdered, it did come out... Before that, it was going to be a sort of an underground."
