The Ben - Inshallah

Credits

Produced by Madebeat
Directed by @Jul@JulienBmjizzoffer: Bright Ngabo

On his latest Afrobeat & Afro-Pop single "Inshallah," Rwandan star The Ben explores the thrilling early stages of romance when the spark is real, but the chase is on. Blending English and Kinyarwanda, the track centers on the Arabic phrase Inshallah (God willing") a soulful nod to trusting the process, staying hopeful, and believing love will naturally find its way.

With its infectious groove and relatable message,
"Inshallah" is a perfect fit for East African hits, Afropop, and romantic feel good playlists.

Jeena uske bina hai to
Jeene-marne me fark kya..???

Tune Diwana jo banaya
To mana main khudaya
Ye teri raza hai na

Tune Diwana jo banaya
To mana main khudaya

Tu dikha koi raasta
Dil jalon ko na jaa chhod ke …

Dar badar hon mohabbatein
Ye bhi hai koyi shart kya
Jeena uske bina hai to

Lyrics:
I see trees of green
Red roses too
I see them bloom
For me and you
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world

I see skies of blue
And clouds of white
The bright blessed day
The dark sacred night
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world

The colors of the rainbow
So pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces
Of people going by
I see friends shaking hands
Saying, "How do you do?"
They're really saying
I love you

I hear babies cry
I watch them grow
They'll learn much more
Than I'll ever know
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world
Yes, I think to myself
What a wonderful world

Lyrics:

I need to keep you around
With my feet tied
With my feet tied tight to the ground
The end's nowhere to be found
I don’t know why
You don’t leave me to drown oh-oh-oh

Don’t know where to go unless you say
Don’t know what to do unless you stay
Thinking that today will be our day
Will be our day again

Why am I playing with time as it’s ticking away?
It's tickin’ away, away, I’m askin’
Why, we run for our lives, not a second to waste?
You're tickin’ away, away, away

Alright, let's get it
Winnin'
Losin'
Either way I'm there
Gotta attitude
I'm out the roof
Up in the air
This round I make it count
Yeah I'm talkin’ right now
Feel like the comeback kid
I got no time to spare
Woah
Double up the score
Turn a 2 to a 4
You know I win a lot
Gotta win one more
On a hot streak
Never gets old
Solo with the ace
And my team went gold

Why am I playing with time as it’s ticking away?
It's tickin’ away, away, I’m askin’
Why, we run for our lives, not a second to waste?
You're tickin’ away, away, away
You're tickin’ away, away

I’ll give it one more try
I don’t know why
But I keep comin’ back every time
I want it more than my life
I don’t know why
But it feels so right

Why am I playing with time as it’s ticking away?
It's tickin’ away, away, I’m askin’
Why, we run for our lives, not a second to waste?
It's tickin’ away, away, away
It's tickin’ away, away, away

Tickin’ away, away, away...

Holy Ground
By Sarah Hart and Francesca LaRosa (based on Psalm 128)

Blessed are you who fear the Lord,
who walk humbly in God's ways.
You shall be a fruitful vine
and a blessing all your days.

Blessed are you who seek the Lord,
who have called upon God's Name.
You will be a house of peace
and a blessing all your days.

How beautiful the love of God,
you've come to build your life upon.
May your refuge be His heart,
and your dwelling holy ground.

May your table be a place,
where your children grow in faith.
Every prayer a stone you lay;
your foundation all your days.

How beautiful the love of God,
You've come to build your life upon.
May your refuge be His heart,
and your dwelling holy ground.

How beautiful the love of God,
You've come to build your life upon.
May your refuge be His heart,
and your dwelling holy ground.

Blessed are you who fear the Lord,
who walk humbly in God's ways.
Yours shall be a fruitful life
and a blessing all your days
and your dwelling holy ground.

Nine Chen
Nine Chen
Luke”B.T.”Tsui

The height of Migos-mania was one of those had-to-be-there moments that made all three members stars in their own right. A decade later, Quavo is on his third album, QRÖMELIFE, and taking stock of just how far he's come. The project, which was executive produced by Pharrell, captures what has made Quavo one of the most influential artists of his generation while also painting him in a new light.

The Atlanta rapper sat down for a conversation with Yung Miami, who shared a label with Quavo early in their respective careers. The pair talk about what QRÖMELIFE means to him, the Migos era, fatherhood and cementing his legacy. And, naturally, they play a few rounds of Resha Roulette that result in a footrace.

We Will Be Fine

「She will be fine,
Just something changed in the summer time.」

「She will be fine,
Just something changed in the summer time.」

「She will be fine,
Just something changed in the summer time.」

「She will be fine,
Just something changed in the summer time.」

She will be… He will be…
We will be… We will be fine

On 18th July 1996, two days after he had performed a full birthday concert for the Sultan in Brunei, Michael Jackson came to South Afrika. Michael landed in Johannesburg, attended the 78th birthday celebration of back then South African president Nelson Mandela and later laid a wreath at a memorial in the black township of Soweto. On 19th July, Michael gave a speech in Sun City to announce the South African dates of the HIStory Tour in 1997. Before he left the country on 20th July 1996, Michael gave a short press conference together with Nelson Mandela in Pretoria.

A bit more complete transcript of Michael's speech in Sun City (thanks to @deserveMjj at Facebook):
Michael Jackson: "We are behaving like people without compassion and love for the most vulnerable section of society. The children of the universe are without a spokesperson, they are voiceless. We are all touched by the atrocities committed against children: sexual, physical abuse, child slave labor, educational neglect. We feel ashamed, Angry, Appalled. But there is no action No action.", Michael declares. At the press conference also, he gives an emotional discourse to the people of South Africa: “First, I would like to say, sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, you have no idea how happy and honored I am to be here in South Africa. The people here have been so kind to me their love, their generosity, the hospitality has been overwhelming. I mean, I’m saying this from the bottom of my heart, ‘cause I really mean it. And I’m not wearing these glasses to be Mr. Cool, I wear these glasses because they are a facade, so you won’t have to see my tears ... [voice choking with emotions] ... I’m so happy to be here and you all have been so wonderful to me and I want to thank you so much and I thank you for coming to Sun City. I would like to take this opportunity to thank president Nelson Mandela and the wonderful people of South Africa for this gracious, really gracious welcome to your wonderful country. I just love it. I love it so much, I’m looking for a house to buy here [laughs]… I would like to thank the wonderful wonderful (inaudible) and the staff and its hospitality and hosting this conference. And I’m sorry I was not able to play South Africa dates previously, because I was so much looking forward to coming here. But now I am really excited about bringing the HIStory Tour – a brand new show, the HIStory Tour to South Africa. We are in negotiations right now, with promoters now and, but we’re playing South Africa in mid January 1997, in Capetown, in Durban and Johannesburg. My promoter, Mr. Marcel Avram is here today to announce additional dates and answer any questions you may have regarding the HIStory World Tour. I love you from the bottom of my heart and I thank you so much for your wonderful wonderful opportunity. Thank you.”
