LYRICS:
Sometimes marriages don't work
And sometimes babies die
Sometimes rehab turns to relapse
And you’re left just asking why
And for all the prayers I’ve prayed
I still wonder if He’s real
And if He is how is He choosing
Who He does and doesn't heal

I’ve tried to run from Jesus
I’ve started holy wars
I’ve tried the patient waiting
And the kicking down the doors
I’ve cursed His name anger
With my fists raised to the sky
And in return all He’s ever been is kind

I’ve burned my share of bridges
Learned to tuck my tail and run
Watched the wreckage in the rear view
From all the crooked things I’ve done
And I know that He forgives me
But it’s hard to forgive myself
I can’t help but think amazing grace
Is for everybody else

I’ve tried to run from Jesus
I’ve started holy wars
I’ve tried the patient waiting
And the kicking down the doors
I’ve cursed His name anger
With my fists raised to the sky
And in return all He’s ever been is kind
All He’s ever been is kind

And I know I wasn’t there
But when I look up at the cross
I see the darkest day in history
And I guess that’s what kindness cost

I’ve tried to run from Jesus
I’ve started holy wars
I’ve tried the patient waiting
And the kicking down the doors
He knows I don’t deserve it
But He’s never changed His mind
All He’s ever been is kind
All He’s ever been is kind

This number is called 'A Reggy Waltz". This recording is from July 14, 1979 at the PWA Zaal, North Sea Jazz Festival. Dave Brubeck, born on December 6, 1920, in California, was an influential American jazz pianist and composer known for his innovative approach to time signatures and his role in popularizing modern jazz. In 1951, he formed the Dave Brubeck Quartet, a groundbreaking ensemble. The quartet, featuring Paul Desmond on alto saxophone, Eugene Wright on bass, and Joe Morello on drums, gained widespread acclaim for their distinctive sound and complex, polyrhythmic compositions.
One of the quartet's most iconic albums, "Time Out" (1959), showcased Brubeck's fascination with unusual time signatures. The album's signature track, "Take Five," composed by Paul Desmond in 5/4 time, became a jazz standard and a crossover hit, reaching a broad audience and introducing many listeners to the world of modern jazz. Brubeck received numerous accolades, including a Kennedy Center Honor, Grammy Awards, and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. Dave Brubeck's legacy includes a vast discography of over a hundred albums, collaborations with jazz luminaries, and a profound influence on the evolution of jazz. He passed away on December 5, 2012. Dave Brubeck dedicated the song Take Five to Paul Desmond who died in 77.

In part one of Fearless’ special deep dive into the life and alleged crimes of rap icon Diddy, Jason explores how the unsolved murder of his drug-dealing father made young Sean Combs the perfect pawn in hip-hop’s unholy war against America. Whitlock connects the dots between the biggest investors in the country’s prison-industrial complex and the players pulling the strings in the rap game. The promotion of gangsta rap and prison culture reveals the globalist nihilistic agenda. Jason shares the shocking stats that show the correlation between the birth of N.W.A and gangsta rap and America’s skyrocketing incarceration rate and the top names in hip-hop who profited the most from promoting prison culture. Plus, we hear from Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, whose sexual assault lawsuit fanned the flames of years of smoke surrounding Diddy’s alleged deviant behavior.
