We recently connected with buzzing Chicago artist Chuckyy for an exclusive “Off The Porch” interview! During our sit down he talked about coming to Atlanta for the first time, his experience growing up on the Southside of Chicago, the media portraying the negatives of Chicago, being the oldest of all his siblings, jumping off the porch when he was 13, reveals he’s only 18 years old, getting banned from all schools in Illinois, appreciating the times when he had nothing which motivated him, making his mother proud, explains what motivated him to start rapping less than a year ago, building his buzz by dropping snippets on IG, accidentally leaking his first song “What They Gone Do”, dropping his merch in October, adjusting to people recognizing him while out in public, having an unorthodox rap style, being picky when selecting his beats he raps on, his songs “Good Aim”, “100 Days 100 Nights” recently hitting a million views, explains why most of his songs are under 2 minutes, reveals that “King Tut” is his favorite song, his new music video “One Up”, the vibes in LA, explains how he connected with Lil Durk, signing to OTF, his life changing since he signed, reveals he will be dropping his first project in October, producers he’s been working with, explains his creative process, dealing with haters & trolls, his experience at Summer Smash, and much more!

After recording the hit track in New York, the video for “Valerie” was shot in London in 2007. As Amy Winehouse couldn't make the video shoot, production came up with the concept of Mark Ronson inviting multiple Amy’s to perform on stage with Jazz musicians in an underground club.
