Thank to Porter Robinson for this incredible show and for putting together one of my favorite festival series! Also, thanks to the band who helped realize this new vision of Nurture! It would've been wonderful to have a live stream or official recording to look back on but... when none exists you gotta make one yourself! (I'm personally glad that "Trying to Feel Alive" is Porter's favorite song he's ever written)

Audio EQd: TBD

Technical stuff:
Shot @ Oakland Arena, CA October 29, 2022
iPhone 13 Pro Max, "ProMovie" app
ISO 50, 5200K, 0.78 focus, 2x Wide Camera Zoom, Shutter between 60-800

Discussion:
- the Moire effect causing the LED-ness of the presentation to show seems to occur at or above 600 shutter
- you can see me adjusting the exposure from time to time--lights and LED visuals don't expose the same way so a humanly bright light show will still need high exposure to be visible
- audio has NOT been EQ'd like the Madeon Frost set--it's clear that the general public values speed rather than refinement

As always:
Why do I record? I'm an audio person, not here for the visuals. If the artist doesn't have a full audio line-in recording, I gotta make it for myself. If I could have it my way, I'd never attend a single live (electronic) concert. XD

"This is the recording of my live set at the Mayan Warrior, Burning Man 2022.
Watching these images takes me right back to what might have been the most beautiful show I have ever played. What makes the Mayan Warrior so special is not only the production scale but the vibe of everyone involved. It’s a family and I’m happy to feel like I’m part of it. I think this reflects in the music being played on this art-car.
My set has been a journey for me personally and musically, and I hope you get a glimpse of what I felt when I played these songs."

Enjoy
