Australia's Response To The Beatles? | Friday On My Mind: The Easybeats Story | Amplified
Friday On My Mind is a miraculous story of the migrant rock band, The Easybeats. In 1964, Dutchmen, Englishmen, and a Scot met at the Villawood Migrant Hostel and, within a year, they had become the top music chart sensation in Australia. Two years later, they had reached international fame and were met with fanatical adoration (known as Easy Fever) everywhere they went. By 1969, their lead singer Stevie Wright was only 21 and the band had disbanded. After 40 years, the original members of The Easybeats share their story for the first time in a documentary.
