Macklemore: ‘BEN’, Addiction, & Reintroducing Himself | Apple Music
Six years after his previous album, Macklemore is back to reintroduce himself to the world with his new album, ‘BEN’.
Macklemore sits down with Zane Lowe and peels back the layers of who he really is. Long before his smash hit “Thrift Shop” with Ryan Lewis, Macklemore talks about being an underground rapper and his struggles with addiction and substance abuse. Those experiences led him to the song "HEROES", one of the first he wrote during the pandemic. Macklemore opens up about the pandemic, and how the isolation led to his relapse.
Now sober for almost two years, Macklemore expresses his excitement to share his new music with the world.
