Mateusz Dobrowolski is a musician, educator, & journalist with a passion for Poland's Folk traditions. He recently penned an article in UKs Songlines Magazine about a fascinating resurgence in interest and performance of music in Poland that has more to do with the Pre-Christian history of the country then the image we see of the European Union Member now. This new wave of music has ties to the politics of the nation, the harsh reality of an open war next door in Ukraine, and the ever-present history of conflict that colors the story of Poland.
