it's not been an easy few months for me. my debut album coming out was supposed to be this extremely proud moment for me and of course it still is, but there is obviously something missing. my dad taught me so much in my life and was my number 1 supporter in everything i do. so knowing he won't be here to see that dream of mine come to life has been a constant battle. it just doesn't feel quite right. when i was growing up, my dad bought a pub in devon, england. he loved it so much. it was actually where i played my first ever gig. so, now that it has been left to my siblings and i, i knew i had to do something special there. this is a very special stripped back version of phones in heaven, that i shot at that very pub where i had my first experience playing music in front of people at the age of 13. it's just me and a piano in a pub that meant so much to my dad. probably one of the most emotional days of my life being there and doing this, so really excited to share this special video, which is the first instalment in a series of videos that will be revealed over the coming months as the album comes to release. i am so excited to share this with you. so glad we could make such a special piece of art exist to pay homage to the one of my biggest inspirations in life. he would've loved this like nothing else on this planet. thanks :)
