Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam were an urban contemporary band and one of the first freestyle music groups to emerge from New York City in the 1980s. Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam consisted of Lisa Velez,  guitarist/bassist Alex "Spanador" Moseley, and drummer/keyboardist Mike Hughes. They were produced by Full Force. This is the story on how they reached success in the 80s and then things went downhill from there.
