It’s been a rollercoaster, but now it’s time to enjoy the process with you.

This is Prudence’s (my) journey. I am Prudence and Prudence is me.

Prudence wrote the lyrics, produced, and directed ‘Heading for the Light’.

Prudence started the track for a gritty drama (script) she wrote and when Prudence played the intro of the track to her terminally ill mother (Who was Prudence’s biggest cheerleader) in her living room. Prudence’s mothers energy radiated as danced to the track with what little strength she had, and told Prudence how much she loved it. She risked her body to recover, whilst short of breath.

Prudence’s mother passed, and during this period Prudence’s state of mental well-being enabled her to cope with the adversities of life, that created some challenges to lead Prudence out of her comfort zone. At the time disheartened Prudence suffered writer’s block the creative slump that she faced when she didn’t know what to write.

The inspiring driving force to complete the ‘Heading for the Light’ track was to honour her late mother and to play the track on the anniversary of her passing, at her mother’s graveside. Following the event, Prudence made it her mission to complete a full captivating project of ‘Heading or the Light’.

As the project was so personal and meaningful to Prudence, she didn’t work alongside the Virtue Scripts Team. Instead, Prudence found the vision and independently buckled down, working solely on the pre-production of the ‘Heading for the Light’ video, which includes the filmmaking process, after her development and before production. It involves finalising the script, cast and hiring the actors, dancers and small crew, finding locations, determining what equipment was needed, buying equipment and figuring out the budget.

Nobody involved in the shoot knew any information other than this ‘Masterpiece’ was very meaningful and dear to Prudence, the location was in a cave and that actors and dancers were presented as zombies through some parts of the video.

Prudence directed the ‘Heading for the Light’ video, and a list of scenes were given on the day. In post-production Prudence edited the video her herself cutting the video, which was then graded and distributed accordingly. Then update and uploaded to all platforms.

Prudence hired an illustrator, who copied the sketches she envisioned and designed for the single cover.

It wasn’t a smooth journey, but Prudence did everything necessary in her power to get this project completed perfectly, for her mum. I hope I’ve done Mum proud.

Prudence had the premonition to give the track more life, to reach other people going through adversity, to let you know you’re not alone, to dig deep, awaken and connect with your inner soul and trust your intuition. You will be okay, don’t give up, keep walking from your darkness and head for the light. Prudence hopes this video reconnects you with the feeling of healing, and radiates joy and 'LIGHT' to you.
