EXIT 2021 | Solomun @ mts Dance Arena FULL SHOW (HQ version) Hotney 5 Streams • 4 years ago

SOLOMUN IN EXIT2021 CLOSING SHOW IN HQ. 👐

The mighty house king Solomun comeback to mts Exit Dance Arena was followed by a massive 4+ hours set as well as countless applauses from the full-packed dance floor. 💥🕺

EXIT is the two-time winner of the “Best Major European Festival” award and is continuously recognized by global music stars, fans, and the media alike.

Held each year at the 18th century colossal Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad in Serbia, EXIT started as a student movement whose massive protests brought down the oppressive regime in Serbia. EXIT became the first mass event to gather people from all over the Balkans after a long decade of divisions.

In 2021, the festival marked its 20th anniversary and went down in history as the first major festival in Europe to take place after the pandemic, with over 180,000 music lovers from more than 70 countries.

Celebrated as a place where hedonism meets activism, it is the social relevance of EXIT that has made it unique and globally recognized, hosting stars like Pet Shop Boys, Billy Idol, The Cure, The Killers, Guns N’ Roses, Franz Ferdinand, Motörhead, Iggy Pop, David Guetta, Massive Attack, Liam Gallagher, Grace Jones, Fatboy Slim, Cypress Hill, Beastie Boys, Snoop Dogg, Wu-Tang Clan, The Prodigy, Migos, Sex Pistols, Kraftwerk, Korn, Moby, Arctic Monkeys, Chemical Brothers, Faith No More, LCD Soundsystem, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Pulp, Jamiroquai, M.I.A., Slayer, Ellie Goulding, Hardwell, Avicii, and many others.

EXIT’s Dance Arena is considered as one of the best and biggest dance floors in the world. Situated between the massive fortress walls, the mecca of electronic music welcomed so far Carl Cox, Paul Kalkbrenner, Nina Kraviz, Solomun, Amelie Lens, Boris Brejcha, Charlotte de Witte, Artbat, Jeff Mills, Peggy Gou, and many, many more!

So far, EXIT hosted a worldwide audience of almost 3 million visitors from 70 different countries.

EXIT team organizes seven events on different locations in five countries in South-East Europe: Sea Star Festival (Umag, Croatia), EXIT Festival (Novi Sad, Serbia), Sunland Festival (Primorsko, Bulgaria), Sea Dance Festival (Budva, Montenegro), Revolution Festival (Timișoara, Romania), Ada Divine Awakening (Ada Bojana, Montenegro), and No Sleep Festival (Belgrade, Serbia).

Danniella Dee is a Singer / Songwriter, Producer & DJ from Coventry, UK. She is one-third of Sisters In Dub, a female-led Roots Reggae + Dub sound system collective.

Danniella grew up on Roots music, with her father - Trevor 'E.T. Rockers' Evans founding Coventry's first sound system - Jah Baddis - in the 70s, before becoming tour DJ for the legendary 2-Tone band The Specials. Danniella now proudly carries on her father's sound system legacy with Sisters In Dub.

Since their first session - a victorious win at a sound system competition supported by Coventry City of Culture in October 2021 - Sisters in Dub have been making waves in the sound system scene, performing across the UK and beyond. The momentum continues as they prepare to debut at multiple international reggae festivals in 2023.

Also, a solo artist, Danniella, has been steadily releasing singles for the past few years as she develops her sound. She's been honoured to grace two BBC Introducing stages in 2022, with her first EP anticipated for release in early 2023.

In this mix, Danniella showcases personal favourites from the pioneering golden age of Roots Reggae between 1975-1983.
