Los Angeles California. The city where dreams come true. Palm Trees, beaches, fame and fortune. The city everyone with an entertainment industry dream passes through at some point on their journey. Some are welcomed and have success, some find it difficult to maneuver the course of L.A and soon leave with an understanding that they just weren’t built to play the game. Some even lose their lives either overzealous and ran into the wrong crowd. Today’s fallen city feature once had their own sound be the popular in rap but today seems to have lost its control and their sound. Of course Kendrick Lamar, who’ll probably end up one of the most successful rapper from there when it’s all said and done, is still carrying the torch for Los Angeles, but even then could Kendrick Lamar be placed somewhere else and his sound not change at all? What is the Los Angeles sound in 2022? L.A has made it where as a rapper you have to think is it even worth it before you travel there. Checkin in, murders and a scene seemingly ran by streets codes, ungoverned by whether you’re a street rapper or not. What happened to Los Angeles as far as their sound along with all the bad that comes with traveling to the city, making it lose its place a top hip hop?
