'Chain Reaction' was one of the compositions The Crusaders founder members Joe Sample and Wilton Felder performed at their 1987 concert at the main hall at the North Sea Jazz Festival in the Hague, The Netherlands on 10 July 1987.

The Crusaders are:

• Eddie Davis, Trumpet
• David T. Walker, guitar
• James Christopher ‘Jimmy’ Earl, bass guitar
• Scott Peaker, drums
