The Beatles. The Rolling Stones. Led Zeppelin. The Doors. Bob Dylan. Joni Mitchell. Jethro Tull. Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention. Iron Butterfly. Procol Harum. The Plastic Ono Band. Arthur Lee and Love. These groups were huge in 1969- so WHY didn't they play at Woodstock? Dennis Ball breaks down the stories of WHY 15 of the era's greatest groups did make it to the Woodstock festival in Bethel New York 1969!
POST PRODUCTION NOTE - BOB DYLAN did not actually LIVE at Big Pink and was not on The Band's 'Big Pink' record. He did hang out there, and The Band lived there, and Dylan recorded the Basement Tapes there, in the basement.
We attempted to confirm Dylan's house location online, and it matched the address of Big Pink... but we should have done better research on that. Apologies to our viewers and to Mr. Dylan.
