In a speech accepting the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award at the Grammy Awards, Jay Z the Brooklyn icon seemingly called out the Recording Academy.
As his daughter, Blu Ivy, 12, stood by his side, Jay Z noted that while music voting on the Grammy Award show is "obviosly subjective," his wife, has never won in the album of the year category.
"I don't want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than everyone, and never won Album of the year," he said, seemingly referring to his wife. "So even by your own metrics, that doesn't work." Think about that. The most Grammys, never won Album of the year. That doesn't work."
He went on to double down, adding: "Some of you are gonna go home tonight and feel like you have been robbed. Some of you may get robbed. Some of you don't belong in the category.
