We had an absolute blast preparing for this very special flash mob in Leicester Square...because Romi had no idea her boyfriend, Bharat, was even in the country, so we knew it would be a major surprise!
But even better was the fact that Bharat turned out to be a pretty great dancer, which he kept quiet until his rehearsal with us, where he blew the whole Club Mob team away. It was his idea to wear masks, and the crowd in Central London went wild when his identity was revealed, and Romi couldn't believe her eyes. Congratulations on your engagement guys!*

I met Micah while visiting California. While at first he seemed quite nervous to sing, but he felt compelled to sing anyway because this is an important part of his mission. According to Micah, it's up to musicians to use their powers to get people to think deeper, understand each other, and treat each other better. In this video, he works through his nervousness to sing his song.

This video happened at a large yearly musician's trade show called NAMM. I later find out that Micah has been a contestant on America's Got Talent Season 9 (2014).

As a musician, I'm all about creating musical experiences that have people feeling happy and free, and that's why the "Sing With Me for Free" series exists. Since 2018, I have asked thousands of random people to sing with me on camera. A lot of people have said no, some have said no initially but changed their minds to yes, and some have said yes right away. I ask these people to sing with one purpose: to create a way for them to experience a sense of happiness and freedom they did not feel before. And much of the time, this actually works (and that makes ME happy).

I met Greg while asking people to sing in the 14th street/8th avenue subway in NYC. At first I was taking a quick snack break while my team member changed the batteries. Then, I'm told that a gentleman in a blue shirt wants to sing. So I quickly finish my snack and pick up the guitar. On June 27th, I went to New York City right after the Pride Parade, and I asked random people to sing--all day for about 10 hours. I do this just to give people a chance to express themselves musically and hopefully feel happier and more free as a result. Just when I was about to leave for the night, after having dozens of people sing with me, I met the woman in this video. I don't know her name (I never asked her). But I'm glad her sister brought her to me to sing with me. See, this woman was able to sing a song that really connected with the people around us, and she gave us all a great experience listening to her sing "Dangerously In Love" (originally sung by Destiny's Child, of which Beyonce Knowles was the lead singer). I'm glad I met her and I'm glad that we were able to make an impact on other people together.

Fado is the most well known popular folkloric music of the Portuguese peoples. Full to the brim with emotion, fado is a cultural representation of Portugal's sentiment, and how the country prides itself on its melancholy.

Fado music is Portugal's musical pride. The musical genre, which hides the history of Lisbon and Coimbra, is the most recognised music of Portugal and is considered a national treasure.

In Porto, they all have good artists and good conditions to listen to Fado.

Canto do Camões is a traditional fado restaurant, with daily live fado shows starting at 8.30pm. Lights are dimmed while the fadista accompanied by one or two Portuguese guitarists perform.

Creating these videos motivated PFC to form the Playing For Change Band—a tangible, traveling representation of its mission, featuring musicians met along their journey; and establish the Playing For Change Foundation—a separate 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to building music and art schools for children around the world.
