“Sharks” Lyrics:

Trouble
Blood is in the rocky waters
Hide away your sons and daughters
Eat you alive

Levels better put your head on swivels
Dancing with the very devil
Butter to knife

You think you're better than them, better than them
You think they're really your friends, really your friends
But when it comes to the end, to the end
You're just the same as them, same as them

So let it go, let it go
That's the way that it goes
First you're in then you're out, everybody knows
You're hot then you're cold, you're a light in the dark
Just you wait and you’ll see that you're swimming with sharks

He's coming to get you, he's coming to get you, get you

Bubbles, drowning you're seeing doubles
Don't you let them see your struggles hiding your tears
Crisis, take advantage of your niceness
Cut you up in even slices
Prey on your fears

You think you're better than them, better than them
You think they're really your friends, really your friends
But when it comes to the end, to the end
You're just the same as them, same as them

So let it go, let it go
That's the way that it goes
First you're in then you're out, everybody knows
You're hot then you're cold, you're a light in the dark
Just you wait and you’ll see that you're swimming with sharks

My blood is pumping, coming to get you, don't take it from me
My blood is pumping, coming to get you, don't take it from me
My blood is pumping, coming to get you, don't take it from me
My blood is pumping, coming to get you, don't take it from me

Every time my heart is beating I can feel the recipe
I wonder if my day is coming, blame it on the entropy
My blood is pumping I can see the end is right in front of me
Don't take it from me
I could be everything....everything

(don't take it from me)
(my blood is pumping)
(don't take it from me)
(I could be everything....everything)

So let it go, let it go
That's the way that it goes
First you're in then you're out, everybody knows
You're hot then you're cold, you're a light in the dark
Just you wait and you’ll see that you're swimming with sharks

My blood is pumping, coming to get you, don't take it from me
My blood is pumping, coming to get you, don't take it from me
My blood is pumping, coming to get you, don't take it from me

My blood is pumping, coming to get you, don't take it from me

Lyrics:
Don’t remind me
I’m minding my own damn business
Don’t try to find me
I’m better left alone than in this
It doesn’t surprise me
Do you really think that I could care
If you really don’t like me
Find somebody else
It could be anyone else out there

Don’t fret
I don’t ever want to see you
And I never want to meet you again
One thing
When you’re angry you’re a jerk
And then you treat me like I’m worth nothing
Don’t fret
I don’t ever want to see you
And I never want to meet you again
It’ll happen again
I watch it happen over and over again

Don’t fret
I don’t ever want to see you
And I never want to meet you again
One thing
When you’re angry you’re a jerk
And then you treat me like I’m worth nothing

Don’t remind me
I’m minding my own damn business
Don’t try to find me
I’m better left alone than in this
It doesn’t surprise me
Do you really think that I could care
If you really don’t like me
Find somebody else

Don’t fret
I don’t ever want to see you
And I never want to meet you again
One thing
When you’re angry you’re a jerk
And then you treat me like I’m worth nothing
Don’t fret
I don’t ever want to see you
And I never want to meet you again
It’ll happen again
I watch it happen over and over again

Don’t fret
I don’t ever want to see you
And I never want to meet you again

Joan Jett LIVE - Talking Sex & Rock ' n' Roll in the 70's & 80's Jan. 22 Hotney 5 Streams • 4 years ago

The multi-decade Rock 'n' Roll Goddess, Rock& Roll Hall of Fame recipient Joan Jett is currently In Australia with her new album with The Black Hearts "Bad Reputation".
Todd Oldham's Biography of Joan Jett is also a fantastic read for anyone who likes the music of the time period from "The Runaways" and wants to find out more about Joan's trial's and tribulation's in the "Rock Game"
While I'm on the subject of the "The Runaways", their Manager, Kim Fowley was once very good friends with Gail Sloatman Zappa, they even cut a record together, "Americas Sweethearts", which Fowley produced. Fowley would later go on to produce Frank Zappa and some of The Mothers of Invention on his seven inch single "Where it's at".
Fowley was a self proclaimed "male street hustler" in his youth and would cruise the street's of "The City of Angel's" looking for tricks.
In 1975 Fowley would have perhaps his greatest success when he created the "The Runaways".
As people who are reading this would probably know, The Runaways featured a then sixteen year old Joan Jett and Lita Ford, whom Fowley "tastefully" attired in leather and lingerie, he would later boast "Everyone loved the idea of sixteen year old girls playing guitars and singing about fu*king"! Some of the young girls in the band, including Cherie Curry, would later accuse Fowley of requiring them to perform "sexual services" for him AND his associates as a prerequisite for membership in the band!
So when Joan says she knows ALL about that scene, I BELIEVE her!

https://www.amazon.com/Joan-Je....tt-Todd-Oldham/dp/19
This is a fantastic video full of thoughts and idea's we so rarely get to hear, and with Joan's stories I personally could listen all day long!
I hope you like too!
