Lyrics:

(Look)
(Look)
(Look)

(Last time around, I came to f*** the streets up)

(Try to tell these n****s, get the money fuck being tough)
(Ridin round the hood, fully loaded, like a Brinks truck)
(All these n****s aint tied in, they wanna be us)

Last time around, I came to f*** the streets up
Try to tell these n****s, get the money fuck being tough
Ridin round the hood, fully loaded, like a Brinks truck
Gave these n****s a headstart still cant keep up
Penthouse, top floor, its time to kick my feet up
It aint a ten in sight, these n**** cant be up
I’m the type to go and spend my last onna re-up
These n****s aint tied in, they wanna be us

Fourth quarter pressure in the trap, like its crunch time
I aint leaving out this b**** unless its lunch time
I aint leaving out this b**** unless its time to eat
She came back with no money, told her beat her feet
All blues on me, like my money neat
Name ??? up on my side, go and ask the streets
No surgery, but to tell the truth, it came from me
I aint runnin off, I get them thangs for cheap

Get em off my name
Move 500, finna drop another chain
Bro with me everyday, he on the same thang
N****s doin 5 racks, look how the game changed
That s*** f***ed up
Signed a deal, whole city think I lucked up
Bands still sitting in my account, I ain't touch a buck
In the trap all day, n**** I been up
500 on me, all trap money
I ain't never gotta touch a dollar of that rap money
Bank account full, still trynna hide the trap money
Im the plug best friend so they still comin
Bro out of Terrance trynna wrap a hunnid
Get my n**** outta rap, let em get the money
Everybody having pape, f*** a crash dummy
Havin big boy pay, duffle bag money

Last time around, I came to f*** the streets up
Try to tell these n****s, get the money fuck being tough
Ridin round the hood, fully loaded, like a Brinks truck
Gave these n****s a headstart still cant keep up
Penthouse, top floor, its time to kick my feet up
It aint a ten in sight, these n**** cant be up
I’m the type to go and spend my last on the re-up
These n****s aint tied in, they wanna be us

(These n****s aint tied in)
(All these n****s standing round in these sections, they just wanna be with us)
(They need to stop it)
(Go get a plug)
(Go take one of them trips or some)
(Go drive through one of them mountains)
(This s*** real business)

On 18th July 1996, two days after he had performed a full birthday concert for the Sultan in Brunei, Michael Jackson came to South Afrika. Michael landed in Johannesburg, attended the 78th birthday celebration of back then South African president Nelson Mandela and later laid a wreath at a memorial in the black township of Soweto. On 19th July, Michael gave a speech in Sun City to announce the South African dates of the HIStory Tour in 1997. A bit more complete transcript of Michael's speech in Sun City (thanks to @deserveMjj at Facebook):
Michael Jackson: "We are behaving like people without compassion and love for the most vulnerable section of society. The children of the universe are without a spokesperson, they are voiceless. We are all touched by the atrocities committed against children: sexual, physical abuse, child slave labor, educational neglect. We feel ashamed, Angry, Appalled. But there is no action No action.", Michael declares. At the press conference also, he gives an emotional discourse to the people of South Africa: “First, I would like to say, sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, you have no idea how happy and honored I am to be here in South Africa. The people here have been so kind to me their love, their generosity, the hospitality has been overwhelming. I mean, I’m saying this from the bottom of my heart, ‘cause I really mean it. And I’m not wearing these glasses to be Mr. Cool, I wear these glasses because they are a facade, so you won’t have to see my tears ... [voice choking with emotions] ... I’m so happy to be here and you all have been so wonderful to me and I want to thank you so much and I thank you for coming to Sun City. I would like to take this opportunity to thank president Nelson Mandela and the wonderful people of South Africa for this gracious, really gracious welcome to your wonderful country. I just love it. I love it so much, I’m looking for a house to buy here [laughs]… I would like to thank the wonderful wonderful (inaudible) and the staff and its hospitality and hosting this conference. And I’m sorry I was not able to play South Africa dates previously, because I was so much looking forward to coming here. But now I am really excited about bringing the HIStory Tour – a brand new show, the HIStory Tour to South Africa. We are in negotiations right now, with promoters now and, but we’re playing South Africa in mid January 1997, in Capetown, in Durban and Johannesburg. My promoter, Mr. Marcel Avram is here today to announce additional dates and answer any questions you may have regarding the HIStory World Tour. I love you from the bottom of my heart and I thank you so much for your wonderful wonderful opportunity. Thank you.”

Here's what some icons have to say about the book!!!

Ice-T: "Respect to Soren Baker for documenting the history of gangster rap in these pages. Some hate it. Some love it. But you can’t deny its brutal, hardcore honesty."

The D.O.C.: "History has so often been written by the victors, that you very rarely ever get the real story behind anything. So it’s really important to hear from the people that were there, which is exactly what Soren Baker shares in this book. He writes about it and he’s honest about it."

Xzibit: "Hip-hop changed the world. Gangster rap changed the narrative, and then changed the world again. Soren Baker has been a very integral part of documenting hip-hop on the West Coast for as long as I can remember. I don’t think anybody is more qualified to write this book."

Leslie “Big Lez” Segar: "Soren Baker has changed the perspective of gangster rap by putting his pen to paper. He has given hip-hop power, proven its potential, and made non-believers contemplate all of its possibilities. The truth in his writing leaves no stone unturned, something he's done again with The History of Gangster Rap. Soren doesn’t just champion hip-hop. He also reveals its flaws and its truths."
