Today we are talking about rapper and convicted criminal Max B. Most well known for his highly publicized beef with Jim Jones and affiliation with French Montana, as well as his introduction of the term “wavy” as slang in popular lexicon; Max actually tried to get into rap in order to escape a life of crime after serving an eight year sentence. But the man either loves danger or loves getting caught because after barely a year on the right side of the bars he returned to the slammer. He served ten months and was released with the help of Jones only to engage in a vicious and longstanding feud; aided by French. A string of mixtapes and public beefing followed only for Max to return to the cell; this time for a whole lot longer. Max was a free man for only four years but has continued to push out music while incarcerated. With such a Juicy and controversial topic; I hope ya’all have the tea ready!! Today we are talking about an often overlooked rapper by the name of No Malice. No Malice formed one
half of the Virginia Beach hip-hop duo; Clipse; alongside his arguably more famous baby brother; Pusha T
and the pair were heavily affiliated with Pharrell Williams. Often; No Malice is forgotten because he did
not have as successful of a solo career as Pusha but the truth is that without him; Clipse would never
even have existed nor would Pusha have started rapping. And if those two situations hadn’t gone off; the
whole Young Money and GOOD Music beef wouldn’t have happened which means that the face of Hip
Hop Beef today may have looked very very different. Malice; was instrumental in forming Clipse and
consequently was integral in establishing Virginia as one of the East Coast’s strongholds in hip hop. He
enjoyed a successful career as a duo until they split up in 2010 in an attempt to go solo. Thereafter;
Malice underwent a spiritual rebirth and converted to Christianity; releasing two more solo albums and a
book and enjoyed a quieter time in the limelight as he got older before Clipse reunited in 2019. Today we
will be exploring No Malice as well as Clipse; and exploring exactly how important Malice was to hip hop
as a whole. So with that being said; let’s dive right in!

The Ed Sullivan Show was a television variety program that aired on CBS from 1948-1971. For 23 years it aired every Sunday night and played host to the world's greatest talents. The Ed Sullivan Show is well known for bringing rock n' roll music to the forefront of American culture through acts like Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. The entertainers each week ranged from comedians like Joan Rivers and Rodney Dangerfield, to Broadway stars Julie Andrews and Richard Burton, to pop singers such as Bobby Darin and Petula Clark. It also frequently featured stars of Motown such as The Supremes, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson 5. The Ed Sullivan Show was one of the only places on American television where such a wide variety of popular culture was showcased and its legacy lives on to this day.

Mi madre (la Mimi) escuchó esta canción solo una vez. Cuando le preguntaron si le gustaba, dijo que prefería no escucharla porque la hacía llorar. Yo no pude cantarla en vivo desde que se fue por temor a no poder terminarla. Quizás el tiempo me vaya dando el valor.
