The decade that began with peace and love was shattered in the late 1960s amidst riots, assassinations and a war that wouldn’t end. #TheRollingStones became the voice of this new era, which came to a horrific end at the Altamont festival.

Directed by Tom O'Dell
Starring: Sam Cutler (Stones’ tour manager), Ronnie Schneider (tour producer), Gered Mankowitz (Stones’ photographer), Michael Lydon (Altamont reporter), Joel Selvin (author), Charles Kaiser (author), Mark Paytress (author), Anthony DeCurtis (Rolling Stones Magazine contributing editor), Keith Altham Stones’ publicist), Peter Richardson (author)

Official music video for "Scapa Flow," the lead single from Drop Nineteens’ new album 'Hard Light,' out November 3rd via Wharf Cat Records.

Pre-Order ‘Hard Light’: http://wharfcat.lnk.to/hard-light

After disbanding in the mid-90s, singer Greg Ackell decided he would never make music again. They’d had a great run. They’d shared stages with Radiohead, Hole, Blur, PJ Harvey, and Smashing Pumpkins. They went from being teenagers in Boston to mid-twenty-somethings with a few MTV videos, a couple BBC sessions, and numerous festival appearances under their belt. So when Drop Nineteens ceased to be, Ackell felt content. He had the rest of his life in front of him to figure out what he wanted to do. Music was a closed chapter.

That was until 2021, Ackell for the first time after nearly 30 years decided to pick up the guitar with intent. Shortly after this, he immediately called Steve Zimmerman, the band's bassist and fellow guitarist, and got writing. It felt effortless for Ackell like he never stopped writing music. The first task of making 'Hard Light' was getting the rest of the band back together (Zimmerman, Paula Kelley, Motohiro Yasue, and Peter Koeplin). The record came together over the course of a year, recording at a patchwork of studios all around the country: Boston, San Francisco, Los Angeles. Making music together felt natural, fluid, and exciting. The result was a modern Drop Nineteens record that is completely singular in its sound and vision. Drop Nineteens have brought clarity and cool in 2023 to the genre they helped create. A portrait of a band 30 years later, as talented and dedicated to their craft as ever.

Lyrics:
Tell me when there is danger
It probably won’t matter to me
On the face we are strangers
To what you’d hoped they would be
Shallow wrecks from the bottom
Better left than picked up and remembered
But I remember
Cold dew from the mountain
Flows down through you
Not for the first time
Turned tears into oceans so blue and clear
That I surrender on cue
Nights after this will align
As if not to miss you’re alive
At the end of a game changer
Where you’ve been and won’t go
I really just figured it out
What James meant by all my friends
It’s a trade so much better never made
And it follows and it follows
The truth long forgotten comes due
And you say it’s the last time ha!
This fear that you’re tender
And black and blue
Will temper tempers
Nights after this might connive
Not to be missed or alright at all

"SOFT LIVING" is taken from Jeff Rosenstock's new album, HELLMODE - out September 1, 2023.

Lyrics:
When you think of me
Do you see something inside me that
I could never see
Some amount of miles away
Daydreaming straight into the blaze?
Aaron Carter in a Target screamin’
“Is it a mistake?”

We watched the sunset dreamsmog
Shit out the doom fog
When this song comes on
Put all your clothes on
Count to ten and breathe
Drink some water
When your head starts spinnin’
I tried everything that was easy
Oh, it’s hard soft living

What’s it gonna take
To guide the brush fires to eradicate
Every single trace of these
Scumfuck white supremacist shitlords?
When this song comes on
Burn a police car
To just stay strong is hard
When all you can think of
Is how did we go so wrong?
How did we go so wrong?
How did we go so wrong?

Don’t wanna hold out for the end of the world
Don’t wanna hold out for the end of the world

We watched the sunset dreamsmog
Shit out the doom fog
When this song comes on
Turn all the lights on
Because it’s done
So clean up and try not to think of
How did we go so wrong?
How did we go so wrong?

lyrics

until I’m brave enough to call you
i just fall through every time
wish I’d waved when I saw you
i just watched you passing by

so much coming through
every hour too
can’t get enough of you
you come around I’m ruined
you come around I’m ruined

you gave me no answer
nor asked me to lie
you just gave me an amethyst
from your jeweled vest as you cried

so much coming through
every hour too
can’t get enough of you
you come around I’m ruined
you come around I’m ruined

so much coming through
every hour too
can’t get enough of you
you come around I’m ruined
you come around I’m ruined

we shared in the basement
as the fern bent to the window
and we drew to alignment
as the water soaked the pillow

so much coming through
every hour too
can’t get enough of you
you come around I’m ruined
you come around I’m ruined

so much coming through
every hour too
can’t get enough of you
you come around I’m ruined
you come around I’m ruined

so much coming through
every hour too
can’t get enough of you
you come around I’m ruined
you come around I’m ruined

so much coming through
every hour too
can’t get enough of you
you come around I’m ruined
you come around I’m ruined

so much coming through
every hour too
can’t get enough of you

Lyrics:
(You) You’re my kind of present
(Yeah you, you) You’re my kind of present
(You’re my)
You’re my, my angel from heaven
So go and tell Santa, don’t bring me nothin’
You and me for the holiday
Sittin’ by the fire, caroling
Don’t buy me anything
Just put your hands all over me
‘Cause you, I want you
Yeah you, only you
I know what you should do
On this Christmas, come through

(whoa) So baby (baby)
Yeah don’t say maybe (maybe)
'Cause I don’t care ‘bout your money
I been kinda lonely
I know that you want me
And baby I want you

(You) You’re my kind of present
(Yeah you, you) You’re my kind of present
(You’re my)
You’re my, my angel from heaven
So go and tell Santa, don’t bring me nothin’

My family adores you
They cooked extra for you
This party can’t start without you
‘Cause you bring them good vibes
Stay with me all night

I know what you should do
For this Christmas, come through
(Whoa)
So baby (baby)
Yeah don’t say maybe (maybe)
'Cause I don’t care ‘bout your money
I been kinda lonely
I know that you want me
And baby I want you

(You) You’re my kind of present
(Yeah you, you) You’re my kind of present
(You’re my)
You’re my, my angel from heaven
So go and tell Santa, don’t bring me nothin’
Oh baby (baby) (shoo wop shoo wah, shoo wop shoo wah)
Yeah don’t say maybe (maybe) (shoo wop shoo wah, shoo wop shoo wah)
'Cause I don’t care ‘bout your money
I been kinda lonely
And I know that you want me
And baby I got you
(You) You’re my kind of present
(Yeah you, you) You’re my kind of present
(You’re my)
You’re my, my angel from heaven
So go and tell Santa, don’t bring me nothin’

Baby I got you
Oooh
And you’re my, my angel from heaven
So go and tell Santa, don’t bring me nothin’

The Ed Sullivan Show was a television variety program that aired on CBS from 1948-1971. For 23 years it aired every Sunday night and played host to the world's greatest talents. The Ed Sullivan Show is well known for bringing rock n' roll music to the forefront of American culture through acts like Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. The entertainers each week ranged from comedians like Joan Rivers and Rodney Dangerfield, to Broadway stars Julie Andrews and Richard Burton, to pop singers such as Bobby Darin and Petula Clark. It also frequently featured stars of Motown such as The Supremes, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson 5. The Ed Sullivan Show was one of the only places on American television where such a wide variety of popular culture was showcased and its legacy lives on to this day.

Lyrics:
And you can dance
For inspiration
Come on
I'm waiting

Get into the groove
Boy you've got to prove
Your love to me, yeah
Get up on your feet, yeah
Step to the beat
Boy what will it be

Music can be such a revelation
Dancing around you feel the sweet sensation
We might be lovers if the rhythms right
I hope this feeling never ends tonight

Only when I'm dancing can I feel this free
At night I lock the doors, where no one else can see
I'm tired of dancing here all by myself
Tonight I wanna dance with someone else

Get into the groove
Boy you've got to prove
Your love to me, yeah
Get up on your feet, yeah
Step to the beat
Boy what will it be

Gonna get to know you in a special way
This doesn't happen to me every day
Don't try to hide it love wears no disguise
I see the fire burning in your eyes

Only when I'm dancing can I feel this free
At night I lock the doors, where no one else can see
I'm tired of dancing here all by myself
Tonight I wanna dance with someone else

Get into the groove
Boy you've got to prove
Your love to me, yeah
Get up on your feet, yeah
Step to the beat
Boy what will it be

Live out your fantasy here with me
Just let the music set you free
Touch my body, and move in time
Now I know you're mine

You've got to

Get into the groove
Boy you've got to prove
Your love to me, yeah
Get up on your feet, yeah
Step to the beat
Boy what will it be

Only when I'm dancing can I feel this free
At night I lock the doors, where no one else can see
I'm tired of dancing here all by myself
Tonight I wanna dance with someone else

Live out your fantasy here with me
Just let the music set you free
Touch my body, and move in time
Now I know you're mine

Now I know you're mine, now I know you're mine
Now I know you're mine, now I know you're mine
You've got to

Get into the groove
Boy you've got to prove
Your love to me, yeah
Get up on your feet, yeah
Step to the beat
Boy what will it be
[Repeat and fade]

Lyrics:
As you promised me that I was more than all the miles combined
You must've had yourself a change of heart like halfway through the drive
Because your voice trailed off exactly as you passed my exit sign
Kept on drivin' straight and left our future to the right
Now I am stuck between my anger and the blame that I can't face
And memories are somethin' even smoking weed does not replace
And I am terrified of weather 'cause I see you when it rains
Doc told me to travel, but there's COVID on the planes
And I love Vermont, but it's the season of the sticks
And I saw your mom, she forgot that I existed
And it's half my fault, but I just like to play the victim
I'll drink alcohol 'til my friends come home for Christmas
And I'll dream each night of some version of you
That I might not have, but I did not lose
Now you're tire tracks and one pair of shoes
And I'm split in half, but that'll have to do
So I thought that if I piled something good on all my bad
That I could cancel out the darkness I inherited from Dad
No, I am no longer funny 'cause I miss the way you laugh
You once called me "forever," now you still can't call me back
And I love Vermont, but it's the season of the sticks
And I saw your mom, she forgot that I existed
And it's half my fault, but I just like to play the victim
I'll drink alcohol 'til my friends come home for Christmas
And I'll dream each night of some version of you
That I might not have, but I did not lose
Now you're tire tracks and one pair of shoes
And I'm split in half, but that'll have to do
Oh, that'll have to do
My other half was you
I hope this pain's just passin' through
But I doubt it
And I love Vermont, but it's the season of the sticks
And I saw your mom, she forgot that I existed
And it's half my fault, but I just like to play the victim
I'll drink alcohol 'til my friends come home for Christmas
And I'll dream each night of some version of you
That I might not have, but I did not lose
Now you're tire tracks and one pair of shoes
And I'm split in half, but that'll have to do
Have to do

About Bad Boy Entertainment:

In 1993, Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs, also known as Diddy, launched Bad Boy Records. Nobody could have
imagined the impact the label would have on pop culture. As a subsidiary of the larger Bad Boy
Entertainment, the label became best known for its signature sound of streetwise hip-hop soul and the
ghetto fabulousness that radiated like precious jewels from its very name. Bad Boy was designed for
those who aspired higher, but also wanted to party until the break of dawn. Puffy had seen life from
both sides of the class divide and, with his groove-heavy music, worked hard to merge the two. There is
no better visual embodiment of this merger than the groundbreaking videos that were in heavy rotation
on BET and MTV and now on YouTube.

The Bad Boy Entertainment channel is the official YouTube home of iconic music videos from Puff
Daddy, Craig Mack, Faith Evans, 112, Total, Mase, Yung Joc, Cassie, Danity Kane, and the rest of the Bad
Boy Family, and your destination for some of the biggest 90s and 00s hip-hop hits of all time like Craig
Mack’s “Flava In Your Ear (Remix)”, the Notorious B.I.G. tribute “I’ll Be Missing You” by Puff Daddy feat.
Faith Evans and 112, and Cassie – “Me & U”.
