Sean “P. Diddy'' Combs has officially responded to one of the huge lawsuits filed against him. Joi Dickerson-Neal claims Combs drugged and raped her after a date in 1991. She also claims Combs filmed the assault and shared it widely with friends. Combs’ attorneys claim Dickerson-Neal cannot bring claims against Combs using laws that didn’t exist at the time of the alleged assault. Law&Crime’s Jesse Weber analyzes the lengthy motion and its implications.

Commenting on the track, the band explains: "Our upcoming album 'Sounds Of The Forgotten' is our defining statement, a testament to what we in Witherfall hold sacred in the Rock and Metal Zeitgeist. We delve into many forms on 'Sounds Of The Forgotten' and one of the truly lost art-forms becoming ever more rare is the 'Power Ballad'. Forgoing cheesy and sometimes hallow tropes about unrequited love we chose to write about our love of music. This ballad is an ode for anyone that finds themselves on their journey (whatever it may be) and fearing that their dream may be slipping away from them. Where do i begin? is a call to find your passion again and revisit those initial reasons for all of your sacrifices."

Witherfall is:

Jake Dreyer - Guitar
Anthony Crawfford - Bass
Chris Tsaganeas - Drums & Percussion
Gerry Hirshfeld - Keyboards

WITHERFALL

Where Do I Begin?
Once upon a time, before all of our ties were broken
We used to try to hide our prejudice and lies unspoken
Now we long for days and revisit our pasts abandoned
They’re falling away, left to tell the story of our lives…

If our dream dies, will I be awake enough to save it?
If I have a choice, tell me Where do I begin?
Time after time, given everything I had for nothing
To find an answer, deny the sin. Tell me, Where do I Begin?

Our reality unwinds, bring in all the wasted years in focus
Though we try to justify, those memories will not console us
Here we stand today, as witness to our fading seasons
The years drift away, to sail across the river lost in time

If our dream dies, will I be awake enough to save it?
If I have a choice, tell me Where do I begin?
Time after time, given everything I had for nothing
To find an answer, deny the sin. Tell me, Where do I Begin?

Will no one here, pose the question? We all want answers.
Time is not our friend, though we will surely meet tonight.
Waiting in a small room, locked beyond the door as it closes forever.
Forever…

If our dream dies, will I be awake enough to save it?
If I have a choice, tell me Where do I begin?
Time after time, given everything I had for nothing
To find an answer, deny the sin. Tell me, Where do I Begin?

(c) 2023 Deathwave Records & Nocturnes and Requiems ASCAP

Witherfall was formed in Los Angeles in 2013. Joseph Michael (also of Sanctuary fame) and Jake Dreyer (ex-Iced Earth/Demons & Wizards) built their new band around drummer Adam Sagan (RIP) and accomplished bassist Anthony Crawford (Allan Holdsworth, CHON). Since then, the group have released three highly regarded albums: Nocturnes and Requiems (2017), A Prelude to Sorrow (2018), and Curse of Autumn (2021) and an ep Vintage (2019). Not one to cut corners, Witherfall enlisted famed drummer Marco Minnemann (The Aristocrats, Steven Wilson) on Curse of Autumn, ensuring the foundations of singles “As I Lie Awake,” “The Other Side of Fear,” and “The River” were second to none. On the new album Minnemann returns to the fold with an album-only appearance, while drummer Chris Tsaganeas (Wax Owls) and multi-instrumentalist Gerry Hirschfeld (Willie Nelson) Witherfall’s newest permanent members...

It doesn’t really need an explanation—you know exactly what Kehlani means when she sings. Without sugarcoating or softening a word, the Bay Area-born two-time GRAMMY® Award-nominated multiplatinum songstress will drop a hard truth in one breath and flip a middle finger in the next. She may extend a seductive invitation or an empathetic plea before leaving you in your thoughts and feelings. Either way, she finds a way to consistently relate without filter. With each move, she strengthens this connection to listeners everywhere. Kehlani’s 2015 breakout mixtape You Should Be Here received a 2016 GRAMMY® Award nod in the category of “Best Urban Contemporary Album.” On its heels, her 2017 full-length debut SweetSexySavage bowed at #3 on the Billboard Top 200 and eventually went gold. Between selling out dates on the SweetSexySavage Tour, the record closed out the year on Pitchfork’s “The 50 Best Albums of 2017” and Rolling Stone’s “20 Best R&B Albums of 2017.”

Along the way, she contributed to Suicide Squad: The Album and The Fate of the Furious: The Album and guested on Cardi B’s double-platinum “Ring,” Kyle’s platinum “PLAYINWITME,” and Justin Bieber’s “Get Me,” to name a few. By 2020, she picked up three gold solo singles—"You Should Be Here,” “Honey,” and “Distraction,” for which she received her second GRAMMY® nomination for Best R&B performance. In addition, four platinum singles—“Gangsta,” “The Way” [feat. Chance the Rapper], “CRZY,” and “Nights Like This” [feat. Ty Dolla $ign] and streams in the billions. Not to mention, Billboard Women In Music honored her with the “Rule Breaker Award” as she gathered nominations at the Soul Train Awards and the American Music Awards. Plus, she made show-stopping appearances at Voodoo Music + More, Coachella, and beyond. In the aftermath of 2019’s chart-topping While We Wait mixtape, everything changed. She became a mom. As such, parenthood left an indelible imprint on her second full-length, It Was Good Until It Wasn’t. Out May 8th, It Was Good Until It Wasn’t is described by Kehlani as her most mature body of work, featuring songs based on her own real experiences including recently released “Toxic” and “Everybody Business.” In the end, you’ll know exactly what’s on Kehlani’s mind, heart, and soul on It Was Good Until It Wasn’t.

Lyrics:

You and me we're like family
And we never had to try
Then something changed
Now it's not the same
And you never told me why

Slighting uninviting
Did I do something wrong
It's funny how suddenly
I just don't belong

Small talk in a small town yeah
Everything is so quick to go around
Small mind in a big mouth yeah
When you don't even know the story
How can you say that
Still wishing you were back
Before you know the facts
Oh oh oh
Stop assuming that you knew me
You can't write the script
It's my life not your movie
It's my life
It’s my life

I thought you understood and I think you would
Make up things you know are lies
Let's cut to the chase say it to my face
Why don't you look me in the eyes

I don't need that kind've treatment
And at the end of the day
I am only gonna be me
Say what you wanna say

Small talk in a small town yeah
Everything is so quick to go around
Small mind in a big mouth yeah
When you don't even know the story
How can you say that
Still wishing you were back
Before you know the facts
Oh oh oh
Stop assuming that you knew me
You can't write the script
It's my life not your movie

And so just for the record
You are so wrong about me
You don't need to talk anymore
No

Small talk in a small town yeah
Everything is so quick to go around
Small mind in a big mouth yeah
When you don't even know the story
How can you say that
Still wishing you were back
Before you know the facts
Oh oh oh
Stop assuming that you knew me
You can't write the script
It's my life not your movie
It's my life
It's my life
It's my life
It's my life
It’s my life
It’s my life

Lyrics:
[Verse 1]
Walking on a dream
How can I explain
Talking to myself
Will I see again?

[Pre-Chorus]
We are always running for the thrill of it, thrill of it
Always pushing up the hill, searching for the thrill of it
On and on and on we are calling out, out again
Never looking down I'm just in awe in whats in front of me

[Hook]
Is it real now
When two people become one
I can feel it
When two people become one

[Verse 2]
Thought I'd never see
The love you found in me
Now it's changing all the time
Living in a rhythm where the minute's working over time

[Pre-Chorus]
We are always running for the thrill of it, thrill of it
Always pushing up the hill, searching for the thrill of it
On and on and on we are calling out, out again
Never looking down I'm just in awe in whats in front of me

[Hook]
Is it real now
When two people become one
I can feel it
When two people become one
Is it real now
When two people become one
I can feel it
When two people become one

[Bridge]
Catch me I'm falling down
Catch me I'm falling down

[Verse 3]
Don't stop; just keep going on
I'm your shoulder, lean upon
So come on deliver from inside
All we got is tonight that is right till first light

[Hook]
Is it real now
When two people become one
I can feel it
When two people become one
Is it real now
When two people become one
I can feel it
When two people become one

Letra:

Quisiera regresar el tiempo
Para volverte a tener
Como duele estar sin ti
Ya no aguanto este dolor
Estraño todo de ti
cuando hacíamos el amor
Tus besos y tus caricias
Que me das con pasión

Y por eso

Dame otra oportunidad
Te lo pido por favor
No te vuelvo a fallar
Te Lo juro ante Dios

Volvamos empezar
Yo se que tu sientes
Lo mismo que yo

Volvamos a intentar

Tus besos y tus caricias
Que me das con pasión

Y por eso

Dame otra oportunidad
Te lo pido por favor
No te vuelvo a fallar
Te Lo juro ante Dios

Volvamos empezar
Yo se que tu sientes
Lo mismo que yo

Volvamos a intentar
A intentar lose que esta vez
Todo funcionará
