LYRICS
I’m a star ba-ba-babe
Do this all day-day-day
Cool like sorbet-bet-bet

Bet you can’t wait-wait-wait
Hands up on me-me-me
Hot like chilli-li-li

Ooh, thoughts of me fill up your mind
Every day and every night
It’s the way I make you feel
Baby there ain’t nothing better
And I could do this forever with you
With you, with you, with you

Ah, ah, all night
Touch me right there
Doo, do, do, doo
Touch me right there
Doo, do, do, doo
Touch me right there
Baby break the tension

All night
Touch me right there
Doo, do, do, doo
Touch me right there
Doo, do, do, doo
Touch me right there
Baby what you missing

Oh my god,
Touch me right there
Almost there
Touch me right there
Don’t be shy
Boy I don’t bite
You know where
Touch me right
Ta, ta

Oh my god,
Touch me right there

#scottstapp #creed #howardstern

I cite my sources and they may differ than other people's accounts, so I don't guarantee the actual accuracy of my videos.

While promoting his 2005 record The Great Divide, Scott Stapp would make an appearance on the show Casino Cinema which was hosted by howard stern’s wife Beth Stern. A noticeably drunk Stapp was pretty beligerant during the interview as you can see here. IT was following the interview that Stern expressed his anger on his December 1, 2005 show according to Marks Friggin.com telling his audience that Stapp reportedly told his girlfriend and i quote “bimbos like her normally don’t go for him” and stern expressed his anger that no one from the show seemed to throw scott off the show and referred to the crew of the show as and i quote ‘maggots’ It was reported that after the appearance stapp saw himself on tv and checked himself into rehab.

Limp Bizkit - Limp Bizkit and Creed were some of the most popular bands by the late 90’s early 2000’s on both rock radio and MTV.

As reported by MTV at the 2000 incarnation of New York Station KROCK’s aptly titled dysfunctional family picnic concert, Creed and Limp Bizkit traded barbs with one another during their performances. Limp Bizkit would take to the stage an hour late,

Limp Bizkit’s label Interscope tried to do some damage control telling MTV there was confusion over Limp's set time. Once limp bizkit took the stage things took a bizarre turn when Durst launched into a rant against Creed frontman Scott Stapp telling the crowd and I quote
"I want to dedicate this next song to the lead singer of Creed.... That guy is an egomaniac," "He's a f***ing punk, and he's backstage right now acting like f***ing Michael Jackson. F** that motherf**er, and f** you too.... [RealVideo] And if you want, there's going to be a booth with pillows and blankets for when Creed comes on."
Stapp addressed the comments during Creed’s set telling the audience “It takes a lot more guts to say something to somebody than from behind their backs." Following the show Durst appeared on MTV’s Total Request Live and either jokingly or not told Carson Daily that he was presented with an anger management manual from Creed’s camp. Here’s the interview with TRL talking about the feud. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Kvvz...
Creed would end up putting out an official statement that read We are extremely disappointed that Fred Durst has taken his personal feelings toward us public, considering we have never met or spoken to him. We are more disappointed that Fred is manipulating the media and the truth by using Creed as a scapegoat for his own immature and egotistical actions."

Creed’s camp contended that Durst made his comments out of anger over where Limp Bizkit was on the bill. According to MTV limp Bizkit were set to play before STP, Ozzy and Creed with Creed’s statement adding "He then refused to go on stage causing management from KROCK, Creed, Stone Temple Pilots, and Ozzy Osbourne to spend nearly an hour trying to figure out how to get Limp Bizkit to take the stage. Fred finally agreed to play only after he 'finished his dinner,' having accomplished his obvious goal of delaying his set."

Creed would attack Durst again after a voice recording of Durst leaving harassing and threatening voice mail for the band Taproot after they opted not to sign with his label Interscope. I’ve done a whole video on the feud the link is down below. Creed wouldi issue another statement calling Durst’s voice recording and i quote "vulgar comments and violent threats... totally indicative of a mobster mentality" at TapRoot. Scott stapp would also challenge durst to a boxing match for charity, but the challenge would go unaccepted from Durst’s camp.

311 - It was during the promotion for his solo record The Great Divide in 2005 during a tour stopover in Baltimore during thanksgiving weekend that STapp found himself staying at the same hotel as the band 311. Stapp who was intoxicated according to reports was downing shots and smashing glasses against the bar when he saw 311 frontman SA Martinez with his wife sitting at a nearby

Whipped Cream
I've been eatin' whipped cream, havin' vivid dreams
Of your face and through people on TV screens
You've been everywhere
And I wish I didn't care
Oh you've been everywhere
I wish, wish I didn't care, yeah
Wish I didn't

I've been thinkin' of you
I've been keepin' you
Alignin' my soul
With the devil that it chose
I've been thinkin' this
Thinkin' of some kids
How I'm agin', degradin'
When I give it like this
I've been cryin' at night, holdin' bullet tight
Hopin' I meet someone different, but it's true that I don't

I've been eatin' whipped cream, havin' vivid dreams
Of your face and through people on the TV screen
Everywhere
Said I'll be...

And I wish I didn't care
Oh, you've been everywhere
I wish, wish I didn't care

I've been in my feels, I've been stackin' bills
Online shoppin' and robbin' my chance of survivin'
And I'm late on rent, what was I thinkin'?
I'm gon' go to the gym, squat real low for a man
'Round you it revolves, I can't shake it off
Unrequited, admit it, you were never mine at all
Never mine, never mine
Never mine at all
Never mine
Never mine at all

I've been eatin' whipped cream, havin' vivid dreams
Of your face and through people on TV screens
You've been everywhere
And I wish I didn't care

Oh, you've been everywhere
Oh I wish, (said I wish) wish I didn't care, yeah
Ooh, yeah, ooh
Eat...
Ooh, yeah, ooh

Your deceivin', receivin', non-givin' headass
Your deceivin', receivin', non-givin' headass (oh, yeah)

I've been eatin' whipped cream, havin' vivid dreams
Of your face and through people on TV screens
You've been everywhere
And I wish I didn't care
Oh, you've been everywhere (you've been, you've been, you've been)
I wish, wish I didn't care, yeah

Lyrics:
I already feel like doing it again, honey
Cuz once you know, then you know and you don’t wanna go
Back to wherever it is that you come from, yeah

I just want to stay high with you

Cuz where I come from everybody frowns and walks around with that ugly thing on their face
And where I come from we work hard and grind and hustle all day (yes! we do!)
There comes a time
There comes a time at night where we get to play
And we smile and laugh
And jump and clap and
Yell and holler and just feel great!

I just want to stay high with you

So, don’t question my state of mind
I’m doing wonderful just fine, thank you. (Thank you!)
Everything is everything and everything is beautiful
(How did you get like that?)
See all I do is keep it cool and don’t worry bout what everyone is doing

I already feel like doing it again, honey!

I just want to stay high with you

Oct. 15, 2019 | Bob Boilen -- From the moment Brittany Howard walked into the NPR offices, I could sense her intense commitment and passion. Her eight-piece backing band, all decked out in red and black, played with a soulful subtlety that bolstered Brittany Howard's tender songs about her family — stories of a mixed-race child growing up in Alabama.

All the songs performed at the Tiny Desk come from Jaime, an album Brittany Howard dedicated to her sister who died at the age of 13 from a rare form of eye cancer, the same disease that has left Brittany Howard partially blind in one eye. On these songs (and in particular at this Tiny Desk Concert), there is more nuance than I've heard in Brittany's past projects, including her work with Alabama Shakes and Thunderbitch. The music has a sense of wonder and playfulness, even when the subject is heavy, as in "Georgia." She tells the audience that it's a tale of "a little young, black, **** girl having a crush on an older black girl and not knowing what to say and how I was feeling."

Brittany Howard knows how to tell a story, to foster empathy and understanding and, in this intimate setting, the songs feel at home. The connection with the audience felt visceral as I looked around the room and into the eyes of my workmates and their friends. Even a small child in the arms of their parent screamed at the appropriate moment during the climax of Brittany's song, "Baby." It gave us all a good laugh just when the weight of the words felt the heaviest.

"Baby"
"Goat Head"

Lyrics:

Last night you were so into it
You told me secrets that
You've never told a soul
You were so nervous and
yet oh so comfortable
As we explored your image of love
I drank your wine
As you taste mine
I kissed your lips
You felt my body slip
Into your soul
I almost cried 'cause it was so beautiful

Last night
I was inside of you
Last night
While making love to you
I saw the sun , the moon
The mountains and the rivers
I saw heaven when I made sweet love to you

#prince #mtv

I cite my sources and they may differ than other people's accounts, so I don't guarantee the actual accuracy of my videos.

In 1986 MTV would partner up with musician Prince to promote his new film at the time titled Under the Cherry Moon. MTV would hold a contest to give one lucky winner the chance to win a date with the musician along with several other prizes. Here’s a promo the network ran for the contest.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NB97NefZmE0

The winner would be 20 year old hotel chambermaid from Sheridan, Wyoming named Lisa Barber. The town’s population was less than 11,000 people. Barber would spot the ad for the contest while watching MTV with a friend one day after work., Funny enough Prince wasn’t the most famous celebrity to visit the town as it was reported that years prior Queen Elizabeth II was spotted shopping in the town. She had been invited by Sen. Malcolm Wallop. .

The Daily Beast would reach out to Prince’s publicist Robyn Riggs several years after the musician’s death to recount what happened behind the scenes. Riggs who was 25 at the time would recall reading the paper the day after the MTV contest ended. She read an interview with Barber who was asked whether she was a fan of her boss with her responding ‘Yeah, he’s OK. But I really like Motley Crue! I hope I get to meet Tommy Lee.”

Riggs fearing that the contest could unravel would head down to Billings, Montanna, the closest major airport to Sheridan. Riggs would have to give Barber a makeover from heavy metal fan to Prince fan, and had to ensure preparations were underway for her boss arrival. A convoy of trucks descended on the small town with Prince’s equipment for the concert. Prince’s band the Revolution, didn’t have a good start to the contest with guitarist Wendy Melvoin revealing in the book Prince: The Man and his music . “We had the worst flight ever from Denver to Sheridan, everyone was praying. We thought we were gonna die," with Keyboardist Lisa Coleman adding, “The plane was a VW van with wings.”

The contest almost fell apart when. Prince’s manager, would call Riggs to tell her thatthat the musician would drive himself to the movie theatre and the contest winner could ride with the band in the bus to the event. Furious, Riggs would call up Rob Friedman who was the head of the movie studo’s marketing department to give him a heads up and tell Prince’s manager and i quote “Steven, here’s what’s going to happen. You’re going to get with your client, you’re going to tell him that he’s going to take this girl AS HIS DATE. If he does not do that, then I’m going to haul Warner Bros. out of here. And all of our promotional dollars are going home.”

Ahead of the movie premiere Barber would spend an hour getting dolled up by Prince’s haristylist and makeup artist and was given an outfit to wear for the premiere admitting to people magazine she and i quote “usually shopped at kmart”

Barber would tell People Magazine “I was so nervous, but he told jokes in the car while he drove us to the movie theater, and I could tell he was doing his best to help me relax,” “It was such a huge deal – cameras were flashing everywhere. That night was the biggest thing to ever happen in Sheridan.”

After the movie premiere the party headed back to the local holiday inn where Prince and his band played a 45 minute set. In honor of the celebration, then Sheridan Mayor Max DeBolt proclaimed July 1, 1986, as “Prince and MTV Day.”

Prince would end up keeping a fake pearl necklace he got from Barber that night, but he wouldn’t leave her empty handed giving her a goodnight kiss at her home, along with a pair of earrings and gold necklace in addition to two tickets to an upcoming concert in Denver Barber would admit to people magazine “I went with a friend and they gave us backstage passes, but he wasn’t there after the show,” “Still, he was so sweet. He left me 13 long-stemmed red roses.”

Lyrics:
I caught a smile
That you meant to hide
When you were sitting
In my passenger seat on the 405

And your cigarette smoke rose
Like a serpent of light
One of those moments
Where everything is alright

But sooner later danger danger
Need to give you this disclaimer
Know it may not be, forever

Sooner later
Danger danger
Write me up for bad behavior

And I, and I
And I’m here tonight to ride this though
And just for tonight, I’m here with you
Cus I’m goin through
Emotions in motion with you
And I’m here tonight
Riding down this road with you
Down this road with you

Another day lost inside the maze
Maybe I’m not my best
But I’m trying my best
That should be okay

Sooner later danger danger
Need to give you this disclaimer
No it may not be forever
Sooner later danger danger
Write me up for bad behavior
And I, and I

And I’m here to tonight to ride this through
And just for tonight, I’m here with you
Cus I’m going through
Emotions in motion with you
And I’m here tonight
Riding down this road with you

Down this road with you
Down this road with you
Down this road with you
Down this road with you

Lyrics:

I was on fire for you
where did you go
I could have died for you
How could you not know
I was alive with you
But you brought in the cold
Was I being lied to
Wish I never met you
Starting to regret you

My heart just just dropped
Thinking about you
The world just stops
when I’m without you

I was on fire for you
Fire on fire, fire on fire
I was on fire for you
Fire on fire, fire on fire

I was on fire for you
You’re breaking me down
Don’t know what I should do
When you come around

I’m leaving without your love
I have no choice
I know I’m being lied to
I just need some time to
Stop thinking about you

My heart just just dropped
Thinking about you
The world just stops
when I’m without you

My heart just just dropped
Thinking about you
The world just stops
when I’m without you

I was on fire for you
Fire, on fire, fire, on fire
I was on fire for you
Fire, on fire, fire, on fire

I was on fire for you
Fire, on fire, fire, on fire
I was on fire for you
Fire, on fire, fire, on fire I was

I was on fire for you

The weird story of how Jack and Meg White of the White Stripes tricked everyone into thinking they were brother and sister and not married.

Whatever happened to Meg White!

It was a frequent site at the White Stripes concerts to see Jack White introduce his bandmate as “big sister Meg.” The White Stripes formed in the late 90’s at a time when Rock N’ Roll was kind of in a weird spot. The dust had settled on the alternative rock movement of the early 90’s and while there still were bands on the charts from that era, it was a far cry from their heyday. Most of the popular rock songs of the time were considered pop-rock and what some would call post-grunge. The White Stripes seemed like a breath of fresh air while also being a throwback. A band that paid homage to the blues. The White Stripes would go on to heavily influence the revival of garage rock in the late 90’s and the early 2000’s with band’s like the the Black Keys and the Strokes following in their footsteps.
But from day one Jack and Meg concocted a story that they were brother and sister, despite the fact that they were married. So how did they get exposed out and why did they come up with this idea in the first place? Stay tuned to find out.
Hailing from Detroit, Jack White was originally born John Gillis. As a teenager he attended a mostly ethnically mixed school. Hip hop was popular with the kids at the school he attended, but Jack didn’t count himself a fan, instead focusing on mastering the guitar as his influences included Led Zeppelin, Captain Beefheart, Pink Floyd, The Doors and countless old time blues musicians, Obviously he became the odd man out at school. And music wasn’t Jack’s first calling in life as he would reveal to Rolling Stone, that he initially had several ideas of what he wanted to do after graduating including entering the priesthood and possibly joining the marines
There was one moment though in White’s life that he can vividly remember that turned him onto the Blues. It would be a 1993 Radiohead Gig when he heard Son House’s John The Revelator played as the intro music, and it was something caught his attention. Eventually getting his hands on a copy of Son house’s House of the Father Of Folk Blues LP from 1965, the stripped down, yet effective sound caught Jack’s ear. He would reveal in the film ‘It Might Get loud’ with Jimmy Page and U2’s the Edge
“I didn’t know you could do that, just singing and clapping,” “It meant everything. I heard everything disappearing.”
“It was as if someone, with a single blow of the axe, had opened up the world to me… After that, my life received meaning.” Soon afterwards, Jack started to pick up other blues albums. And Apart from playing guitar, he also played drums and was into poetry. .He would also attend open mic nights at a local restaurant called Memphis Smoke, where he met future bandmate and wife Meg White who worked there as a waitress. The two hit it off immediately and began dating getting eventually married on September 21, 1996. John Gillis became Jack White taking Meg's last name.
Then on Bastille Day in 1997, everything changed. Meg White sat down and played drums for the first time on Jack’s kit. White would tell Rolling Stone in 2008
"When she started to play drums with me, just on a lark, it felt liberating and refreshing. There was something in it that opened me up" he'd remember.
Soon afterwards the pair formed a band and threw around a few names to call themselves including Bazooka and Soda Power. Thankfully, the band choose the White Stripes due ot the fact there last name was White and that Meg loved peppermints. After they formed the band, the two concocted a story of them being brother and sister, but why go through all this trouble of doing that. Well White would tell Rolling Stone in 2005 that the lie forced people to take them more seriously
"If we had presented ourselves in another fashion… how would we have been perceived, right off the bat? When you see a band that is two pieces, husband and wife, boyfriend and girlfriend, you think, 'Oh, I see…
"When they're brother and sister, you go: 'Oh, that's interesting.' You care more about the music, not the relationship." he'd say.

Takin' It To The Streets - The Doobie Brothers (1976)
Takin' It To The Streets - The Doobie Brothers (1976) Hotney 4 Streams • 3 years ago

"Takin' It To The Streets" was the title track from the sixth studio album by American rock band The Doobie Brothers, released in 1976. It was the first album to feature Michael McDonald on lead vocals, and the single peaked at #13 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. By late 1975, touring was beginning to take its toll on the band, especially leader Tom Johnston. Things became worse during touring in support of "Stampede" when he was diagnosed with stomach ulcers. His condition worsened and several shows had to be canceled. With Johnston forced to reduce his involvement with the band, the other members considered just calling it quits, but while in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, member Jeff Baxter suggested calling up friend and fellow Steely Dan graduate Michael McDonald, who at the time was between gigs and living in a garage apartment. McDonald was reluctant at first, feeling he was not what they wanted, but he agreed to join them and met them at the Le Pavillion Hotel in New Orleans where they moved on to a warehouse to rehearse for the next two days. Expecting to be finished once touring was completed, McDonald was surprised when the band invited him to the studio to work on their next album. The Doobie Brothers have sold over 30 million albums in the United States from the 1970s to the present, and were inducted into The Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2004. What’s going on my fellow rock n’ rollers. Don’t forget to hit the bell notification icon to be notified every time i put out a new video on my channel. The Black Crowes Singer Chris Robinson is never afraid to let his opinion be known even if it lands him in hot water. That’s exactly what happened when in the early 90’s his band The Black Crowes opened for The Texas Rockers ZZ Top and got fired from the tour. Stay tuned for the full story.

At the beginning of the 90’s The Black Crowes were one of the hottest new bands having released their debut album 1990s Shake Your Moneymaker which spawned four big singles including their cover of Otis Redding’s 1968 song Hard to Handle,, She Talks to Angels, Jealous Again, Twice as Hard and Seeing Things. The band’s debut album was certified 5x platinum just in the United States by the middle of the decade and peaked at number 4 on the charts. Also bolstering the band’s image was their anti-establishment attitude, which also created headaches for them along the way.

As part of the tour to support their debut album they landed a prime spot opening or the Texas trio ZZ Top in early 1991.. ZZ Top were out supporting their 1990 album Recycler which went platinum but failed to garner as much commercial success and fan fare as their previous releases Eliminator and Afterburner.

The tour to support ZZ Top started in January and was supposed to go until May but unraveled halfway through. The Black Crowes claimed their dismissal had nothing to do with music, but rather business disagreements. The tour was scheduled to make a three date homecoming stand in Atlanta at the Omni Coliseum in Mid March, but after only two nights the black crowes were let go.

Brothers Chris and Rich Robinson would appear on MTV’s Rockline to tell their side of the story and they pointed the finger at ZZ Top’s Manager Bill Ham. They claimed Ham was upset with remarks Chris had made on state criticizing ZZ Top for using corporate sponsors on their tour, more specifically Miller Brewing. According to the LA TImes who ran a piece about the dismissal in 1991 claimed

That the band ran into trouble when ZZ Top’s management company Lone Wolf Productions who warned Chris to stop making statements between songs about corporate sponsorships. For example one of the lines Robinson told a crowd at a show was “This is live rock ‘n’ roll being brought to you commercial free.” The brothers would appear on MTV’s rockline immediately following their dismissal and discuss what happened as you can see here.

Following the band’s dismissal ZZ Top’s management company issued a statement to the press that read

This decision was arrived at entirely within this organization and not as has been suggested as a result of corporate pressure,” the company said in a statement released Tuesday. “Miller Brewing has been a partner in this tour since its inception and has been very accommodating to ZZ Top and has asked absolutely nothing of the opening acts which have appeared. It is out of a sense of common decency and courtesy coupled with a moral and ethical obligation that this action has been taken.”

The Black Crowes guitarist Rich Robinson disputed these claims and even went on to say the band basically dared Miller to throw them off the tour telling Q Magazine in 1991

Miller said, 'You don't say that, and if you do, we'll throw you off the tour.' We said. 'Hey, we don't have a contract with you. We thought we were going on tour with ZZ. If you wanna throw us off, throw us off.' And they did," "Miller faxed ZZ, saying, 'Get rid of them, we don't want this press.' ZZ had no idea themselves; it was their manager Bill Ham. He sees Miller giving them millions of dollars, and then sees those millions being pulled away if he doesn't do something. So we were thrown off.”

Of course since the firing happened in The Crowes home state of Georgia, the story quickly picked up steam and made up a lot of the band’s press coverage around this time.
Both bands appeared to leave the tour unscathed as ZZ Top continued to tour with a variety of openers replacing the Black C
