Song lyrics:

WHEN I FIND MYSELF
IN TIMES OF TROUBLE
MOTHER MARY COMES TO ME
SPEAKING WORDS OF WISDOM
LET IT BE

AND IN MY HOUR OF DARKNESS
SHE IS STANDING
RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME
SPEAKING WORDS OF WISDOM
LET IT BE

LET IT BE, LET IT BE
LET IT BE, LET IT BE
WHISPER WORDS OF WISDOM
LET IT BE

AND WHEN THE
BROKEN-HEARTED PEOPLE
LIVING IN THE WORLD AGREE
THERE WILL BE AN ANSWER
LET IT BE

FOR THOUGH THEY
MAY BE PARTED
THERE IS STILL A CHANCE
THAT THEY WILL SEE
THERE WILL BE AN ANSWER
LET IT BE

LET IT BE, LET IT BE
LET IT BE, LET IT BE
YEAH, THERE WILL BE
AN ANSWER, LET IT BE

LET IT BE, LET IT BE
LET IT BE, LET IT BE
WHISPER WORDS OF WISDOM
LET IT BE

LET IT BE, LET IT BE
LET IT BE, YEAH, LET IT BE
WHISPER WORDS OF WISDOM
LET IT BE

AND WHEN THE
NIGHT IS CLOUDY
THERE IS STILL A LIGHT
THAT SHINES ON ME
SHINE UNTIL TOMORROW
LET IT BE

I WAKE UP TO
THE SOUND OF MUSIC
MOTHER MARY COMES TO ME
SPEAKING WORDS OF WISDOM
LET IT BE, HEE

YEAH, LET IT BE, LET IT BE
LET IT BE, YEAH, LET IT BE
OH, THERE WILL BE AN ANSWER
LET IT BE, HEE

LET IT BE, LET IT BE
LET IT BE, YEAH, LET IT BE
WHISPER WORDS OF WISDOM
LET IT BE...

In this week's episode of the Angie Martinez IRL Podcast, Angie sits down with Canadian media personality, actress, and resilient survivor, Melyssa Ford.

Angie and Melyssa reflect on her prominence during an era in Hip-Hop when the industry's landscape didn't align with today's norms of consent. Delving into her experiences as a video vixen in the early 2000s, Angie explores Melyssa's journey and challenges during that time.

Their paths may have crossed on multiple occasions, but it was a gathering for a mutual friend that brought Angie and Melyssa together, unveiling the deeply impactful story of Melyssa's near-fatal car accident. This life-altering event left her with a traumatic brain injury, ushering in a new chapter filled with overwhelming struggles—battling suicidal thoughts and grappling with the weight of surviving such a harrowing incident.

Adding to her tribulations, Melyssa was confronted with her mother's terminal diagnosis, reigniting a complex and emotional journey in their relationship.

Despite enduring these profound challenges, Melyssa Ford bravely shares her path to healing. From grappling with self-medication to discovering solace in self-help literature, engaging in transformative shadow work, and finding strength through activities like pilates, Melyssa has reclaimed agency over her life and narrative.

This episode stands as a testament to Melyssa's courage and vulnerability, offering an inspiring narrative of resilience and triumph over adversity. Tune in for a deeply moving conversation you won't want to miss.

Lyrics:

(People people people people
People people people people)

[Verse 1]
Shippity bop, well hot diggity, where's the iggity? The bum siggity
Niggas wanna know but check the flow my little chickadee
I'm comin with the Books and kid it looks like it's a winner
Ya better get'cha plate because I'm servin raps for dinner
See I freak it from the sewer plus I'm quick to do ya posse
I swoop in on the loop just like I was a kamikaze
See they thought I lost my spot so they went and got real comfy
So now I gotta hit 'em hard and Bogart, like Humphrey
Ya hypocrite, I'm rippin' it because I'm flyer
You're phony, full of bologna like Oscar Mayer
See I attack a pack of rappers just for practice
I bust my tactics, I'm sharper than a fucking cactus

(Set it off!) One two (Set it off!)
Yo it's the Books in reverse, the next kid up sendin a big-up to my borough
I'm thorough, bred-ed in the ghetto from a teenie bop
Takin' lessons, sweatin' niggas on graffiti rock
And now the slang bringer bring a thing of interpretations
My nerves is achin', see I'm sick of niggas perpetratin'
But can't see this, I'm screamin' on their records like Beavis
Or Butthead, I bust heads like Amy
Fisher, it's a, pisser, hit you like an accident
And if I'm in your town you might peep me at the Radisson
Or splatterin', batterin' crews for lip chatterin'
It ain't nothing new, that's how we do, my crew is back again

[Hook]
Back in effect, how's that?
(People people people people)

[Verse 2]
(and yo I still wanna rap)
Well here I go again, so check the flow again, try not to bite
I'll fake a nigga with my left and then I sting him with my right
I'm outta sight, look how I do it, ya blew it if you dissed a
Nigga on the microphone cause I can bone your sister
Word is bond, I'm on some new shit, do shit like this
Grab the piece of steel and shoot the gift like Kris
Kringle, bust my jingle, don't it make ya shiver?
Give a nigga what he needs so he can bleed when I deliver
A microphone check, what the heck?
I threw that in because I used to catch wreck
Wit it, that's the time I "hack-thoo" spit it
For Christ's sakes I meant it, hit the brakes and you skidded
You shitted, my style you bit it, but y'all can keep that
Cause now I'm on some other type of flow and best believe that

Yeah and all that, small cat, my format's deranged
Honey I'm back to run things cause some things just never change, punk!
So if you're drunk, I'll freak the funk until you're sober
But still be gettin' chills when niggas play "The Bridge is Over"
Kickin the flam yo it's the man, tick tock, I jam like gridlock
My style is fender-bendin', sendin' rappers to the pit stop
Good Lord have mercy, hit reverse, G, if you missed it
And bust my gift of speech cause like the priest, baby I'm twisted
Kid I swing a dome-buster like Bonecrusher Smith
Bust up your lips then puff up a spliff
So yo, who be dat that wanna do me back, just to get
Booby trapped, jack, cause my crew be strapped fat like that

[Hook]

Bust a flavor
Word up uh, yeah, uh, yeah

Lyrics:

Set my heart on fire
Pour gasoline all over my desire
When I go up in flames, I’m burning bright
I’ll tell you it’s too late to apologize

You burnt that bridge
A million times
A million tries
You play with fire

Every time we touch my fingers burn
I just want that love don’t leave me hurt
I can feel the rush when we ignite
Cause every time we touch, every time we touch, I feel that fire

You know sparks gonna fly
Every time you look into my eyes
All it takes is one small match to light
Cause once we feel the flame we’ll never die

You burnt that bridge
A million times
A million tries
You play with fire

Every time we touch my fingers burn
I just want that love don’t leave me hurt
I can feel the rush when we ignite
Cause every time we touch, every time we touch, I feel that fire

Every time we touch my fingers burn
I just want that love don’t leave me hurt
I can feel the rush when we ignite
Cause every time we touch, every time we touch, I feel that fire

Lyrics:

I guess I’m crazy as you said I was
Been hearing voices I’ve been seeing stuff
Maybe that’s what all this missing you does
It’s messing me up

How you move on like that
Not one look back
On what it was
You got too gone too fast
No brakes all gas
I can’t keep up

You’ve been running through my mind
And you won’t slow down
Everywhere I go now
I’m meeting up with memories
That this Weller whiskey won’t drown
I still see your taillights
Burning through a dust cloud
Ever since you said goodbye
You’ve been running through my mind
And you won’t slow down

I took that faded picture off the dash
I threw out everything of you I had
That bar I met you in I don’t go back
But I still go back

To a Chevy and the moon on your skin in the summer
The midnight’s mixing with the color
Of your eyes looking into mine
After all this time

You’ve been running through my mind
And you won’t slow down
Everywhere I go now
I’m meeting up with memories
That this Weller whiskey won’t drown
I still see your taillights
Burning through a dust cloud
Ever since you said goodbye
You’ve been running through my mind
And you won’t slow down

How you move on like that
Not one look back
On what it was
You got too gone too fast
No brakes all gas
I can’t keep up

You’ve been running through my mind
And you won’t slow down
Everywhere I go now
I’m meeting up with memories
That this Weller whiskey won’t drown
I still see your taillights
Burning through a dust cloud
Ever since you said goodbye
You’ve been running through my mind
And you won’t slow down

Ever since you said goodbye
You’ve been running through my mind
And you won’t slow down

LYRICS
Under the waves
Over the hills
Your what I’m waiting for, your what I need
Lost in the sky
Sinking the ocean
I want it more and more, I need I need

I need your sunlight to my winter
I need your summer to my leaves
Oh can you let me swim your rivers, I need I need, I need I need

I need your love, I need I need
I need your love,
Washing over me
I need your love, I need I need
I need your love
I need your
I need

Into the mountains far from the breeze
I won’t be giving up, until were free
Free to climb
Free to fall
Crash through the waters
Or ride them all.

I need your sunlight to my winter
I need your summer to my leaves
Oh can you let me swim your rivers, I need I need, I need I need

I need your love, I need I need
I need your love,
Watching over me
I need your love, I need I need
I need your love
I need your
I need

Oh I, Oh I’m lost without you I can’t breathe
And I know, that, your all, I need
I need your love, I need I need

I need your love,
Washing over me

I need your love, I need I need
I need I need

Your all I need.

I need your love, I need I need
I need your love
Washing over me
I need your love, I need I need
I need your love
I need your love

Little was known about Juelz Santana’s personal life up until his girlfriend, Kimberly “Kimbella” Vanderhee, joined season two of Love & Hip Hop New York back in 2011. From there, the highs and lows of their relationship have made headlines, including Kimbella’s recent decision to drop Juelz like a sack of potatoes. For most fans of the reality series, their breakup is unsurprising because many believe their relationship was doomed from the start.

Chorus:
I found myself inside a Midnight Daydream
Baby if you saw it then I know it may seem
Like I'm moving on
But every time I touch her every time I taste her kiss
I just feel your lips
I can't snap out of this
Midnight Daydream
Like I'm still with you
Midnight Daydream
Dammit girl I miss ya

Cat Stevens' Majikat - Earth Tour was recorded during his last legendary North American tour in 1976. It was an ambitious production involving live magicians, synchronized film projection and large innovative stage set. This was the ultimate tour of Cat Stevens before he quit the music business and became Yusuf Islam; he didn't perform on stage again for nearly thirty years.
