LYRICS:
The devil is dead
I have never felt the way that I have until I left the valley in flames
Let it burn, let it die, blind the all-seeing eye
But I know smoke will never clear in hell

The smell of burning oak makes me sick
Still, I breathe deep
Still, I cross to the other side
But I hear a voice behind me say

I (the eye closed its final time as I had walked through the flames)
WILL (the will of a beast is nothing compared to the will of a god)
FIND (I’ll find my peace when the bones of the devil lay at my feet)
YOU (you and I are one, mark my words, I will find you)

A beast will always smell the blood of a coward
And a narrow-minded fool will always follow down the narrow path
To the blade that can make a god bleed
Still, you are weak
You’re just a boy with his mother’s eyes
That carries the weight of his father’s heart

I always feel like there’s something that I’ve left behind
It’s not a possession or any acceptance of life, it’s me

What is the point of running away when you don’t know who you are
I’ll always be one step behind until you realize who I am

Lyrics:
We have arrived
Through despair we walk once more
Now paint your faces
We’re going off to war

See
See our legion
We
We are legion

As a legion we arise
ENTER HELL
Seeking our enemies
Our spirit soar
We have seen hell before
We have our strength in unity

We fought through flames
Breaking the chains we wore
The tyrants bell shall toll no more

Hear
Hear our legion
We
We are legion

As a legion we arise
ENTER HELL
Seeking our enemies
Our spirit soar
We have seen hell before
We have our strength in unity

As a legion we arise
ENTER HELL
Seeking our enemies
Our spirit soar
We have seen hell before
We have our strength in unity

Raise your fist up high
UP INTO THE SKY
We do not fear our enemy
Let your spirit soar
We’ve conquered hell before
We have our strength in unity

► LYRICS:

My silent tears, falling down
The river I follow guides me
In the shadows of my doubts
A fire I can’t ignite

It doesn’t feel right
I am still paralysed
By the sound of your screams
When I see you in my dreams

Chorus
You’re away too far away
You’ve been gone so long
But the echoes of your name remain
Until this day where you belong

Through the gates of time
I’ll keep your memory alive
Away too far away
But I still wait
For your lost soul to come back to me

A piece of blade planted in my heart
All these years, I still bleed somehow
In the ocean of my cries
The oxygen I find

And one day somehow
It starts to fade out
Even though I believe
I still call your name, I call your name in my dreams

In the shadow of a doubt
A tear drop in my eye
I am longing for a another sunrise
with you by my side

Lyrics:
I met the queen of generation fame
I said I’m sorry I don’t know your name
And she stared at me
And she said

Hey man could you tell me your name
I said you wouldn’t know it anyway
But I like you

You’re so conceited but you’re insecure
You’re always busy but you look so bored
So tell me
What do you do

Well, the world won’t easily forget you
She smiled and said
Yes, I think that’s true

Turn my life into a hurricane
Kill the paranoia in my brain

’Cause I want what you got
And you got what I want
And I like you

I don’t need another lonely weekend
Just give me thrills so the truth don’t creep in
It’s wrong
Yeah, it’s wrong
But I like you

You’re as corrupt as any TV preacher
I don’t believe it but I’m falling deeper
Baby
Sad but True

’Cause it’s hard to define
When you cross that line
So what’s on your mind
Yeah, I like you

You know you’re shallow
It’s your greatest feature
I love your stupid friends
They look like creatures
Baby
What’s wrong with you

’Cause you talk like a dream
But you’re not what you seem
And I don’t care

Turn my life into a hurricane
Kill the paranoia in my brain

’Cause I want what you got
And you got what I want
And I like you

I don’t need another lonely weekend
Just give me thrills so the truth don’t creep in
It’s wrong
Yeah, all wrong
But I like you

And we all want
What we can’t have
Yeah, we all want more
To be so adored
We all want more
’Cause we’re all just whores

Turn my life into a hurricane
Kill the paranoia in my brain
’Cause I want what you got
And you got what I want
And I like you

I don’t need another lonely weekend
Just give me thrills so the truth don’t creep in
It’s wrong
Yeah, I’m wrong
But I like you

QUEENSRŸCHE - In Extremis (OFFICIAL VIDEO)
Taken from the single “In Extremis” out now:
https://Queensryche.lnk.to/InExtremis-SingleID

Directed by Thomas Crane / A killDevil Films Production https://www.killdevilfilms.com/

Lyrics:
Prisms will deceive you when you start to fade, do not fear
Prison, no longer strangled by the rules of the game, who’s to blame

Rainbows they only laugh when you cry
Lighting has struck you not once but twice
Warfare it will subside when you are blind
Loves within your reach and there's no time

By my side, come closer if you can, I’m near the end
Say goodbye, I’ll still be listening, don’t you cry

A silent room with solitude
Playing your final hand
With nothing more that they can do
Do you know where you stand

When you are forced, forced to move on nothing can break you, nothing can break you again

Terror, a haunting gaze no one can seem to break, time draws near
Clearer, you right the wrongs before you reach the gates, can’t escape

Rainbows they only laugh when you cry
Lighting has struck you not once but twice
Warfare it will subside when you are blind
Loves within your reach and there's no time

By my side, come closer if you can, I’m near the end
Say goodbye, I’ll still be listening, don’t you cry, time to fly

Joe (vocalist & guitarist) about “In Deepest Black”:
"‘In Deepest Black' is definitely one of the best songs we’ve written so far. Despite the fact that it’s something completely different from what we’ve done in the past, it feels very natural to play this song. I've always wanted to release some kind of “heavy Evil Invaders ballad” and I think we finally nailed it with this one!"

LYRICS

Never made it as a wise man
I couldn't cut it as a poor man stealing
Tired of living like a blind man
I'm sick of sight without a sense of feeling

And this is how you remind me
This is how you remind me
Of what I really am
This is how you remind me
Of what I really am

It's not like you to say sorry
I was waiting on a different story
This time I'm mistaken
For handing you a heart worth breaking
And I've been wrong, I've been down,
Been to the bottom of every bottle
These five words in my head
Scream "are we having fun yet?"

Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, no
Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, no

It's not like you didn't know that
I said I love you and I swear I still do
And it must have been so bad
Cause living with me must have damn near killed you

And this is how, you remind me
Of what I really am
This is how, you remind me
Of what I really am

It's not like you to say sorry
I was waiting on a different story
This time I'm mistaken
For handing you a heart worth breaking
And I've been wrong, I've been down,
Been to the bottom of every bottle
These five words in my head
Scream "are we having fun yet?"

Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, no
Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, no
Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, no
Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, no

Never made it as a wise man
I couldn't cut it as a poor man stealing

And this is how you remind me
This is how you remind me

This is how you remind me
Of what I really am
This is how you remind me
Of what I really am

It's not like you to say sorry
I was waiting on a different story
This time I'm mistaken
For handing you a heart worth breaking
And I've been wrong, I've been down,
Been to the bottom of every bottle

Lyrics |

Lyrics |

I understand not everyone is ready to have this conversation yet but i'd love to hear about your thoughts in the comments :)

Lyrics
Mirror mirror on the wall
Tell me mirror, what is wrong?
Can it be my De La Clothes
Or is it just my De La Soul?
What I do ain't make-believe
People say I sit and try
But when it comes to being De La
It's just me myself and I

It's just me myself and I
It's just me myself and I
It's just me myself and I

Now you tease my Plug One style
And my Plug One spectacle
You say Plug One and Two are hippies
No we're not, thats pure plug bull
Always pushing that we formed an image
There's no need to lie
When it comes to being Plug One
It's just me myself and I

It's just me myself and I
It's just me myself and I
It's just me myself and I

Proud, I'm proud of what I am
Poems I speak are Plug Two type (type)
Please oh please let Plug Two be
Himself, not what you read or write
Write is wrong when hype is written
On the Soul, De La that is
Style is surely our own thing
Not the false disguise of showbiz
De La Soul is from the soul
And in fact I can't deny
Strictly from the Dan called Stuckie
And from me myself and I

It's just me myself and I
It's just me myself and I
It's just me myself and I

Glory Glory Halleluh
Glory for Plug One and Two
But that glory's been denied
By kizids and dookie eyes
People think they diss my person
By stating I'm darkly pack
I know this so I point at Q-Tip
And he states, "Black is Black"
Mirror mirror on the wall
Shovel chestnuts in my path
Just keep all nuts twistin up
So I don't get an aftermath
But if I do I'll calmly punch them
In the 4th day of July
Cause they tried to mess with third degree
That's me myself and I

It's just me myself and I
It's just me myself and I
It's just me myself and I

Contestant number four, do you have the answers?
Uhh…I saw, at the tip of my tongue...

Lyrics:

[Verse 1]
I’ve always been the one to say the first goodbye
Had to love and lose a hundred million times
Had to get it wrong to know just what I like
Now I’m falling
You say my name like I have never heard before
I’m indecisive but this time I know for sure
I hope I’m not the only one that feels it all
Are you falling?

[Pre-Chorus]
Centre of attention
You know you can get whatever you want from me
Whenever you want it baby
It’s you in my reflection
I’m afraid of all the things it could do to me
If I woulda known it baby

[Chorus]
I would’ve stayed at home
Cuz I was doing better alone
But when you said hello
I knew that was the end of it all
I should’ve stayed at home
Cuz now there ain’t no letting you go
Am I falling in love with the one that could break my heart?
Oh no
I was doing better alone
But when you said hello
I knew that was the end of it all
I should’ve stayed at home
Cuz now there ain’t no letting you go
Am i falling in love with the one that could break my heart?

[Verse 2]
I wonder when you go if I stay on your mind
Two can play that game but you win me every time
Everyone before you was a waste of time
Yeah you got me

[Pre-chorus]
Centre of attention
You know you can get whatever you want from me
Whenever you want it baby
It’s you in my reflection
I’m afraid of all the things it could do to me
If I woulda known it baby

[Chorus]
I would’ve stayed at home
Cuz I was doing better alone
But when you said hello
I knew that was the end of it all
I should’ve stayed at home
Cuz now there ain’t no letting you go
Am i falling in love with the one that could break my heart?
Oh no
I was doing better alone
But when you said hello
I knew that was the end of it all
I should’ve stayed at home
Cuz now there ain’t no letting you go
Am I falling in love with the one that could break my heart?

[Post-Chorus]
Ooooh break my heart
Ooooh break my heart
Ooooh
Am I falling in love with the one that could break my heart?

[Chorus]
I would’ve stayed at home
Cuz I was doing better alone
But when you said hello
I knew that was the end of it all
I should’ve stayed at home
Cuz now there ain’t no letting you go
Am i falling in love with the one that could break my heart?
Oh no
I was doing better alone
But when you said hello
I knew that was the end of it all
I should’ve stayed at home
Cuz now there ain’t no letting you go
Am I falling in love with the one that could break my heart?

When @bastilledan sent me happier for the first time I was taken back. The amount of emotion that you could feel in the lyrics was crazy. As I listened to the song more and more it reminded me of so many things I’ve been through in my life. Toxic relationships, letting go of things I didn’t want to and just situations where happiness came with a sacrifice. Recently I lost my best friend, my companion, my life long friend. I wanted this video to embrace the pain that we feel losing or sacrificing something and the cycle of life that comes with it. I hope this song and video can bring closure in any situation you may be and make us all happier 💛
