What Happened To '90s R&B Group Silk? | Issues With Keith Sweat, Money, Brandy's Mom S Hotney 6 Streams • 3 years ago

They may have grown up singing gospel tunes in church but, it would be a song about wanting to get freaky with a woman that would take this group to the top of the music charts. R&B group Silk, originally consisting of Timothy "Timzo" Cameron, James "Jimmy" Gates, Jr., Johnathen "John John" Rasboro, Tyga Graham and Albert Allen, came together in Atlanta, Georgia in the late ‘80s. Like so many soulful groups before them, the quintet honed their singing skills as choir boys in church. At one point, cousins Timzo and Jimmy started their own little gospel group. Also, like many other artists mainly surrounded by gospel, the cousins found other ways to get their fix of secular music like The Temptations, LeVert, New Edition and Keith Sweat. Keith would actually later play a major role in Silk’s career accomplishments as well as, according to the group, some disappointments.

Lyrics:
Black eyes
Just lies
Bad conscience
Where are you?
You just don't mind
And there is nothing wrong to you
No day goes by
That you don't stop to dish it out
There's no remorse to torment you

Can't you see?
Your disillusion
There is no reality
Only confusion

(Fallen one)
Destiny is calling
Tyranny is falling
You can't win this game
There is no way out
Your destiny is calling
Tyranny is falling
You're the one to blame
Life will never be the same

Bad words that hurt
There's no humanity
You're unconcerned
And you will lose your dignity
No rules for you
There is a place to hide away
The path you choose was paved before

Can't you see?
Your disillusion
There is no reality
Only confusion

(Fallen one)
Destiny is calling
Tyranny is falling
You can't win this game
There is no way out
Your destiny is calling
Tyranny is falling
You're the one to blame
Destiny is calling

Destiny is calling

Oh, your disillusion
There is no reality
Only confusion

(Fallen one)
Destiny is calling
Tyranny is falling
You can't win this game
There is no way out
Your destiny is calling
Tyranny is falling
You're the one to blame
Fate reclaims

You choose the game
(Destiny is calling)
Now get the shame
(Tyranny is falling)
Destiny is calling
You choose the game
(Destiny is calling)
Now get the shame
(Tyranny is falling)
You are going down
You choose the game

Fatboy Slim ft. Bootsy Collins - Weapon Of Choice [Official 4k Video] Hotney 6 Streams • 3 years ago

You're Watching The Official 4k Video Of Weapon Of Choice by Fatboy Slim

Arguably Fatboy Slim’s most famous music video of all time, Weapon Of Choice features Christopher Walken dancing around a deserted hotel lobby. The Spike Jonze-directed video won multiple awards at the 2001 MTV music video awards and won the 2002 Grammy award for best music video. The track features vocals by the legendary Bootsy Collins.

To mark the track's 20th anniversary, the video has been lovingly - and painstakingly - restored from the original 35mm film to produce this truly stunning 4k version that befits one of the greatest music videos of all-time.

Don't be shocked by the tone of my voice
Check out my new weapon, weapon of choice
Don't be shocked by the tone of my voice
Check out my new weapon, weapon of choice, yeah
Listen to the sound of my voice
You can check it on out, it's the weapon of choice, yeah
Don't be shocked by the tone of my voice
It's the new weapon, the weapon of choice
You can blow with this or you can blow with that
You can blow with this or you can blow with that
Or you can blow with this or you can blow with that
Or you can blow with us
You can blow with this or you can blow with that
You can blow with this or you can blow with that
Or you can blow with
Walk without rhythm, it won't attract the worm
Walk without rhythm and it won't attract the worm
Walk without rhythm and it won't attract the worm
If you walk without rhythm, you never learn, yeah
Don't be shocked by the tone of my voice
Check out my new weapon, weapon of choice
Don't be shocked now by the tone of my voice
Check out my new weapon, weapon of choice
Before they catch ya chainsmokin'
(We can't forget to load it)
Before they catch ya chainsmokin'
Before they catch ya chainsmokin'
(We can't forget to load it)
Before they catch ya chainsmokin'
You can blow with this or you can blow with that
You can blow with this or you can blow with that
Or you can blow with this or you can blow with that
Or you can blow with us
You can blow with this or you can blow with that
You can blow with this or you can blow with that
Or you can blow with
Organically grown through the hemisphere I roam
To make love to the angels of light, yeah
And my girl, I guess you just don't understand
It's gone beyond bein' a man
As I drift off into the night, I'm in flight
She's a boy scout, no doubt
But I'm gonna hold my cool 'cause the music rules, yeah
So groove on, check it out
Halfway between the gutter and the stars, yeah
Halfway between the gutter and the stars, yeah
You can blow with this or you can blow with that
You can blow with this or you can blow with that
Or you can blow with this or you can blow with that
Or you can blow with us
You can blow with this or you can blow with that
You can blow with this or you can blow with that
Or you can blow with
Break, eject, eject, eject
Break, eject, eject, eject
Break, eject, eject, eject
Eject, eject, eject, eject
'For they catch ya chainsmokin', word
Come before they catch ya chainsmokin', word
Come before they catch ya chainsmokin', word
Come before they catch ya chainsmokin', word

LYRICS:
Today I am feeling sad
Why do I look to the sky
Nothing will be the same
The mindset tries to get by
Tomorrow’s another face
Depending on the unknown
Sleep is the enemy
Accepting the good with the low

Accepting the good with the low

Time will heal the open wounds
But the heart will always decide
How the soul will be moving on
And to live with the ones left behind
High above or below the sun
The spirit seems to be fine
Time will heal the open wounds
But the heart will always decide

Today I’m feeling it
Why do I think I can fly
Everything is in place
Nothing seems in decline
What day is irrelevant
Untouchable to the bone
Now levitate again
Accepting the good with the low

Accepting the good with the low

Time will heal the open wounds
But the heart will always decide
How the soul will be moving on
And to live with the ones left behind
High above or below the sun
The spirit seems to be fine
Time will heal the open wounds
But the heart will always decide

Live for a reason
The young ones will fly
Joining their moment in time
The wounds are still healing
But that feels alright
Even the night has a light

Time will heal the open wounds
But the heart will always decide
How the soul will be moving on
And to live with the ones left behind

High above or below the sun
The spirit seems to be fine
Time will heal the open wounds
But the heart will always decide
