“We spoke out against racism, hunger, gangs, crimes, and turf wars, as we embraced all people with hope and the spirit of brotherhood. It’s just as apropos today.” - WAR

WAR, the original street band, was founded by veteran record producer Jerry Goldstein and rock legend Eric Burdon in 1969. Together with the original band members Lonnie Jordan, Howard Scott, Lee Oskar, B.B. Dickerson, Harold Brown, the late Thomas “Papa Dee” Allen, and Charles Miller, they blended many musical styles and influences. The musical laboratory that is WAR yielded 17 gold, platinum and multi-platinum awards, including the triple platinum ‘The World Is A Ghetto’ and double platinum ‘Why Can’t We Be Friends?’ and ‘Greatest Hits’, and hit songs "Why Can't We Be Friends?", "Low Rider", "Spill the Wine", and "The Cisco Kid".

WAR began playing live shows to sold-out audiences in the 1970s and continues their commitment to being road WARriors, touring over 150 dates a year to this day.

Lyrics:

Little fireworks that light up for me
In my fingertips I burn my worries
Do it something like that 8 track Shawty
Keep it in rotation, it’s a celebration every time we
Smoke
Smoke
Do it something like that 8 track Shawty
Keep it in rotation, it’s a celebration every time we

You don’t even gotta ask, you know I got some pre-rolls in the bag, who should I shotgun
To the left or the right long as it rotate
It’s a bisexual blunt, it can go both ways

Hot box while you hit the box
Top get you to the top
Rock but if it’s a lot
I can take that from you
Got nothing but that gas
Pass it then pass it back
Cough you don’t need a mask
This that shit you smoke to

Little fireworks that light up for me
In my fingertips I burn my worries
Do it something like that 8 track Shawty
Keep it in rotation, it’s a celebration every time we
Smoke
Smoke
Do it something like that 8 track Shawty
Keep it in rotation, it’s a celebration every time we:

Tree got the smoke now
We just need a lighter
That body ah
She got that Earth Wind and Fire
If you know how to roll then come
Be my supplier
Up in the clouds
We get high like Mariah

Hot box while you hit the box
Top get you to the top
Rock but if it’s a lot
I can take that from you
Got nothing but that gas
Pass it then pass it back
Cough, you don’t need a mask
This that shit you smoke

Little fireworks that light up for me
In my fingertips I burn my worries
Do it something like that 8 track Shawty
Keep it in rotation, it’s a celebration everytime we
Smoke
Smoke
Do it something like that 8 track Shawty
Keep it in rotation, it’s a celebration every time we:

Lucky and V. Monét
Sound like your Lucky Daye
Roll up and let it play
This that shit you smoke to

Reprise

Let me hit that pipe before the pipe
Or you can use a candle
Just to make a blunt light for you
Let’s end this night on a high note
You go and then I’ll blow
Let me set the mood right for you

Baby can we smoke
Baby can we smoke
