Bryson Tiller stopped by Genius to discuss his latest hit “Ciao!” The drill-influenced track is off his self-titled album, his first LP since 2020's A N N I V E R S A R Y. On today’s episode of Verified, the Kentucky star speaks about the inspiration behind this song.

"The crazy thing is ciao means goodbye and hello," he says. "It be like that in relationships. You think you're saying bye. Two days later, you're saying hello again. It just be like that."

During the episode, Pen Griffey also talks about global experiences, Ferraris, Lambos, and more about his artistry.

"The rapper in me hates when people call me a singer. The singer in me hates when people call me a rapper," he explains. "I don't know why. People should call me an artist. Just call me that."

Academy Award winner Ariana DeBose ('West Side Story') performs "This Is Your Round of Applause," the opening number of the 2022 Tony Awards, for which she was the host, live at Radio City Music Hall on June 12, 2022.

"This Is Your Round of Applause" was arranged by Kurt Crowley and Benjamin Rauhala, and choreographed by Sarah O'Gleby, with costumes designed by Sue Makoo.

The number features dancers Jōvan Dansberry, Karli Dinardo, Daniel Gaymon, Carlos E. Gonzalez, Ashley Elizabeth Hale, Marc Heitzman, Jolina Javier, Yoori Kim, Robin Masella, Ilda Mason, Janayé McAlpine, Michael Munday, Julian Ramos, Ryan Steele, Khadija Tariyan, and Charlie Williams.

The original song portions were written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, the Tony Award winning composers of "Six." The number was orchestrated by Alex Lacamoire, the Tony Award winning orchestrator of "Hamilton." Patrick Vaccariello conducted the orchestra. Track elements were created by Will Wells. Comments Zuretti, “‘Deserving of the Grave’ was a track that started with music I came up with in my head whilst flying home from somewhere. I got home and immediately jotted down the idea and sent it to Eyal, which he turned into an entire song. The funny thing is, Eyal gets my music brain so much that he pulled all of the Danny Elfman/Gothic-era influence out of a singular idea and made an entire epic come to life. And what's even crazier is that Danny Elfman literally wrote the theme for Tim Burton's Batman in 1989 the exact same way: on a plane. This track is everything Eyal and I love about dark and moody classical/cinematic music fused together with DÅÅTH’s sound. The golden seal of the track is our friend Jeff Loomis ripping one of my favorite solos I've heard in more than a decade."

Adds Levi, “‘deserving Of The Grave’ comes from a really dark place. The day it was conceived, Jesse was flying somewhere and got a strain of divine inspiration, wrote the initial idea on an airplane, and sent it to me. Simultaneously I was flying back home from witnessing the death of a loved one, and received this great idea in my email, while in a really bad mental state. Upon returning, I got to work immediately and what you’re hearing is what flowed out of that terrible place. I think it’s the darkest song on the album, and the vibe on it is real.

“Besides that, this song has a special place in my heart because our old buddy Jeff Loomis graced us with one of the best guitar solos I’ve heard in my entire life. And it was a long time coming. Fun fact, but Jeff and DÅÅTH almost worked together back before the hiatus. It came so close to happening and it was one of my biggest musical disappointments. All I can say is that it was worth the wait. His solo in this song is the stuff of legends."

PrimeTime is a love story based on the early adventures of Cindi Mayweather (Janelle Monáe) and her first love Joey Vice (Miguel.) The Emotion Picture gives a glimpse at Cindi's humble beginnings as a "cyber-server" at the Electric Sheep nightclub, a syn bar serving high-class "show droids" to the rich and lonely in a dangerous section of Metropolis known as Slop City. Incidentally, the innovative cybersoul music played at the club directly impacted Cindi, and she began singing and performing her own innovative compositions a short time after quitting this assignment. In addition, Cindi became determined to change the public perception of what an electric lady could be, dream and aspire to after working in the dismal conditions at the club.
