This is Why MC Hammer Was The Most RESPECTED & FEARED Rapper Hotney 12 Streams • 3 years ago

Stanley Kirk Burrell, better known by his stage name MC Hammer, was born on March 30, 1962, in Oakland, California, and despite his clean-cut image, carved a unique niche for himself in the music industry. Known for his flashy dance moves and catchy tunes, Hammer's journey had unexpected layers that went beyond the surface. Raised in a tough neighborhood, Hammer's early dreams of becoming a professional baseball player were shattered when he failed to make the cut at a San Francisco Giants Tryout. At a crossroads, he contemplated joining the street life, witnessing acquaintances making quick money through illicit activities. Instead, he chose a different path, enlisting in the United States Navy, where he served as a petty officer third class aviation storekeeper for three years. His music career took off in the late 1980s with hits like "U Can't Touch This" and "2 Legit 2 Quit." The accompanying dance moves became iconic, and his flashy style made him a pop culture sensation. However, beneath the surface, MC Hammer was making waves in unexpected ways. Amidst his chart-topping success, Hammer maintained his loyalty to his roots. He generously supported those close to him, providing monthly salaries of $50,000, hiring family members as managers and assistants, and sharing his success with his inner circle. However, beneath the flashy dance moves and catchy tunes lay a rapper entangled in notable feuds that defied his wholesome image. From the East Coast-West Coast rivalry with LL Cool J to ideological clashes with Ice Cube and personal disputes with MC Stretch, Hammer navigated a complex landscape of competition and confrontation. Despite financial setbacks and public scrutiny, MC Hammer's journey reveals a multifaceted artist who, beyond the pop allure, confronted the challenges and conflicts inherent in the diverse and evolving world of hip-hop. Years later, the question still remains the same - How Did MC Hammer Became The Most Feared Rapper in The Music Industry?

The sixth album titled Opera is a gut-wrenching musical journey inspired by the tragic mountain climbing accident that occurred to frontman and mastermind Francesco Paoli in 2021.

With this new record, the band are setting the bar even higher than before, pioneering what looks like a completely new sub-genre that might be called Opera Metal: an unprecedented mix of extreme music and theatrical elements.

“The best stories always come from pain, it's a bitter truth yet undeniable.” Francesco P. states. “We managed to turn one of the worst things in life into a work of art, that embodies our personal and artistic growth and takes the listeners on a rollercoaster of emotions, where they can experience what I've been through hand in hand with me. It's a waking nightmare but that's how life is sometimes, just scary.”

“In my visionary representation of this journey, that begins with my near death experience and culminates in a much desired physical and psychological rebirth, I wanted to frame every single step of my calvary, as if they were acts of an "Opera Lirica", with dialogues or even confessions to imaginary characters, who have been constant presences throughout my whole (mis)adventure.

This album tosses you in a vortex of discomfort and uncontrollable feelings, where you can experience pain, fear, desperation, anger, frustration, but also resolve, courage, hope and a profound desire for redemption. I strongly believe that this album is a solid manifest of resilience, and I hope that my story will inspire people who got “lost” for whatever reason.”

"I Can Never Die" is a crushing sonic tribute to artists and their enduring works.

Commenting on the song, frontman Francesco Paoli states:

"Memory is the strongest force in the universe, as it’s the one and only that can give us immortality. It can’t be deceived or shaped to our liking as, in the end, we are what we do and what we leave to posterity faithfully reflects what kind of men and women we’ve been. Some people don’t give the right value to their actions, focusing on immediate profit, and forgetting that our choices have a decisive impact on our and other people’s existence. Especially when you are an artist. It's essential to remember that everything we create outlives us, it has a life of its own and, once it’s brought into existence, it belongs to everyone and we have no more control over it.

Death can occur abruptly any time and there’s no chance to change what it's done, once we’re gone. As far as I’m concerned, one of my first thoughts when I realized that I could have died was “who have I been” and “what am I leaving behind”. I recollected my whole life and figured out how much determination, sacrifice and honesty I’ve put into art and that made me so proud that I would have died in peace.

That’s why we wrote this song, which is nothing but a glorious anthem for all those who commit their existence to art in the purest possible way."

Lyrics
Say cheese
Stepping out purple Mercedes
Fall in love why don’t you make me
You want a picture then say please
Oh baby
Wearing this fit that they gave me
Baby this isn’t from Macy’s
You want a picture then say please
We at some beach bar
Looking for the key card
Babygirl sweetheart
This not luck
Michelin 3 star
drawers say PR
You know who’s these are
Girl whats up
I’m in Hollywood walking with a dip
So your ex get cropped if he ever in the pic
We don’t window shop, tell me what you wanna get
Lil something for ya hips
Lil money on your wrist
(Do you want the receipt in the bag?)
Uh
(And when you come through)
It’s all love tonight (so what we gon do?)
we’ll light up the sky (ok you know I told you)
So girl start acting right
It don’t matter which side is your good side
Say cheese
Stepping out purple Mercedes
Fall in love why don’t you make me
You want a picture then say please
Oh baby
Wearing this fit that they gave me
Baby this isn’t from Macy’s
You want a picture then say please
Look right now I have 459 unread messages. If I don’t hit you back be patient
They was sleeping yo but they find the words when you got some commas
I Cleaned up and since I’m popping her texts be like Dr Bronners
It’s word from the top to bottom it’s word to lil mama I be pop balling by the dollars am I Madonna Obama I’m on the top of the game
shorty stop at the gate
I’m on the phone with the bank and they ain’t talking the same
It’s god mocking it up
I just walk in the plane
I look at who’s tryna holla
It feel like a holiday
Wassup
(And when you come through)
It’s all love tonight (so what we gon do?)
we’ll light up the sky (ok you know I told you)
So girl start acting right
Say cheese
Stepping out purple Mercedes
Fall in love why don’t you make me
You want a picture then say please
Oh baby
Wearing this fit that they gave me
Baby this isn’t from Macy’s
You want a picture then say please

MoneySign Suede - “Outside” ft. 03 Greedo lyrics

MoneySign Suede Verse
I've been in my zone
I've been on the road
I finally understand I'm the one that God chose
I got a smile on my face for all them days I was low
I went up they ain’t wanna see me grow
sister, why you cryin? We so damn close
It was me, Little Spade growing up sharing clothes
I wanna to win this case, but it's looking like no
So if they lock me up, put money on the phone
I've been on the road so my whip a little dirty
I'm on bail so I'm waking up early
I'm lurking in the streets he a demon its concernin’
but instead of hatin all you n*ggas should be learning
I try and act cool but I got shit that really hurts me
A couple of n*ggas switch, but my plans still working
My lil homie 13 and he already serving
I'm trying to stay focused, but my vision be gettin blurry

Hook
So tell the opps we outside
All my niggas gonna step when it’s time
Stuck in the trenches still ridin with a nine
He got got he the talk of the night

Tell opps we outside
All my niggas gonna step when it’s time
Stuck in the trenches still ridin with a nine
He got got he the talk of the night

MoneySign Suede Verse
Fresh out of jail and I’m slidin with a strap again
Shit is bad, then it's good, then it's bad again
I can’t change I’m just a product of my environment
You gon’ die around here with that designer fit
I couldn't wait to get a foreign just to hit the block
I stayed down for a minute just to hit the top
Open doors for my peoples yeah I’ll break the locks
to be living everyday like fuck the law

03 Greedo Hook
Fresh out tell the opps we outside
My little drummer grab the chops now slide
No 9 to 5 but I got some 9-5’s

03 Greedo Verse
This is for my n*ggas writing kite snorting lines doing sentences
And the ones that don't get high who got a knife on the premises
We try relying on the word and never made it past Genesis
start relying on the turf and squabble up with they nemesis
All my n*ggas makin wine and they think that they chemistess
All these pussy n*ggas lyin actin like they got businesses
Your bitch wanna suck me down now they get in their feelingsess
This for My dogs who sit it Out but they ain't never been witnesses
(harmonizing)
