Lyrics:

You lost yo' spot when you went pop
CD flopped, you ain't hot...
But the game been good to meeeee...
(Hol' up, hol' up bitch!)
You lost your cars, and yo' house
Now you sleep on yo' mama's couch
But the game been good to meeeee...

UHH, first album went platinum, now you can't go gold
Made ya deal with the devil, but you sold yo' soul
You rent a lotta cars, rent a mansion and them hoes
You say you sold your Phantom, bitch they took yo' Rolls
Get disrespected everywhere you go
Big bodyguards when you come for the shows
They already know you got shit on your name
Nigga, you a pussy, they gon' take yo' chain
Take yo' piece, rings and watch
You play rich, boy you need to stop
I ain't dissin nobody, no particular name
Ya shoe fit nigga, get the fuck up out the game - lil' BITCH!

Lyrics:

I be doing sh*t I really shouldn’t do forreal
That why I always tell you come through forreal
After this time I’ll be through forreal

You and I know you ain't no good for me
But you feel so good to me
Everytime I come back I try to leave
So how you end up back with me
(I don't know)
This ain't what I want
This is something else
Something that ain't good for my health
And I been searching but I cant get no help
And I don't feel like myself

I be doing shit I really shouldn’t do forreal
That why I always tell you come through forreal
After this time I’ll be through forreal
After this time I’ll be through forreal

I be doing sh*t I really shouldn’t do forreal
That why I always tell you come through forreal
(WY@)
After this time I’ll be through forreal
(Bring me that)
After this time I’ll be through forreal

I can feel them walls closing
I can feel it all
I’m stuck in your claws
Try to run but I don’t get far
Imma put some blame on me
Tryna take accountability
But you take on my ability
You're the death of me
And the remedy
I be doing too much

I be doing sh*t I really shouldn’t do forreal
That why I always tell you come through forreal
After this time I’ll be through forreal
After this time I’ll be through forreal

I be doing sh*t I really shouldn’t do forreal
That why I always tell you come through forreal
Baby WY@
After this time I’ll be through forreal
Bring me that
After this time I’ll be through forreal

Lyrics:
she said take my hand, we’ll be alright don’t know what to say or who decides but i- i try
feelin’ like it’s all gone by
push out of sight your worried mind and don’t-know-why’s
lie with me, i lie to you again she said is it gonna be alright? im addicted to my problems
i don’t like what i’ve become
it’s much easier than solving them i’ll just become undone
won’t you put it all on me? (all on me) oh-woah, won’t you put it all on me? i

oh, oh
one last dance, i don’t think twice
maybe i need a break from this mind of mine i try- i still try
but where did all of the time fly
the days fade by like blurring road signs and i don’t know why i lie
i lie to you again
she said is it gonna be alright? im addicted to my problems
i don’t like what i’ve become
it’s much easier than solving them i’ll just become undone
won’t you put it all on me? (all on me) oh-woah, won’t you put it all on me? oh, oh
and i know i shouldn’t stare out the rear view (damn, you’re bad)
you’re bad for me and i’m bad for you and it’s plain to see
i’m a dick-
i don’t like what i’ve become
it’s much easier than solving them i’ll just become undone
won’t you put it all on me? (all on me) oh-woah, won’t you put it all on me? oh, oh

During Fall/Winter 2023-2024 Haute Couture Fashion Week, Cardi B was invited to attend the Schiaparelli show at the Petit Palais. Vogue took the opportunity to follow her every step of the way, from her beauty routine to her choice of outfit - a custom black dress embellished with Schiaparelli's signature gold detailing. The rapper revealed why she loves France and Paris so much (with a special shout-out for truffle pasta!), before talking about her relationship with fashion.

Song lyrics:

OH, WHAT WOULD I DO
WITHOUT YOUR SMART MOUTH
DRAWIN' ME IN AND
YOU KICKIN' ME OUT

YOU'VE GOT MY HEAD SPINNIN'
NO KIDDIN'
I CAN'T PIN YOU DOWN

WHAT'S GOIN' ON
IN THAT BEAUTIFUL MIND
I'M ON YOUR
MAGICAL MYSTERY RIDE

AND I'M SO DIZZY
DON'T KNOW WHAT HIT ME
BUT I'LL BE ALRIGHT

MY HEAD'S UNDER WATER
BUT I'M BREATHIN' FINE
YOU'RE CRAZY AND
I'M OUT OF MY MIND

'CAUSE ALL OF ME
LOVES ALL OF YOU
LOVE YOUR CURVES
AND ALL YOUR EDGES
ALL YOUR
PERFECT IMPERFECTIONS

GIVE YOUR ALL TO ME
I'LL GIVE MY ALL TO YOU
YOU'RE MY END
AND MY BEGINNIN'
EVEN WHEN I LOSE, I'M WINNIN'

'CAUSE I GIVE YOU ALL OF ME
AND YOU GIVE ME
ALL OF YOU, OH

HOW MANY TIMES
DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU
EVEN WHEN YOU'RE CRYIN'
YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL TOO

THE WORLD IS
BEATIN' YOU DOWN
I'M AROUND
THROUGH EVERY MOOD

YOU'RE MY DOWNFALL
YOU'RE MY MUSE
MY WORST DISTRACTION
MY RHYTHM AND BLUES
I CAN'T STOP SINGIN', IT'S RINGIN'
IN MY HEAD FOR YOU

MY HEAD'S UNDER WATER
BUT I'M BREATHIN' FINE
YOU'RE CRAZY AND
I'M OUT OF MY MIND

'CAUSE ALL OF ME
LOVES ALL OF YOU
LOVE YOUR CURVES
AND ALL YOUR EDGES
ALL YOUR
PERFECT IMPERFECTIONS

GIVE YOUR ALL TO ME
I'LL GIVE MY ALL TO YOU
YOU'RE MY END
AND MY BEGINNIN'
EVEN WHEN I LOSE, I'M WINNIN'

'CAUSE I GIVE YOU ALL OF ME
AND YOU GIVE ME
ALL OF YOU, OH

GIVE ME ALL OF YOU
CARDS ON THE TABLE
WE'RE BOTH SHOWIN' HEARTS
RISKIN' IT ALL, THOUGH IT'S HARD

'CAUSE ALL OF ME
LOVES ALL OF YOU
LOVE YOUR CURVES
AND ALL YOUR EDGES
ALL YOUR
PERFECT IMPERFECTIONS

GIVE YOUR ALL TO ME
I'LL GIVE MY ALL TO YOU
YOU'RE MY END
AND MY BEGINNIN'
EVEN WHEN I LOSE, I'M WINNIN'

'CAUSE I GIVE YOU ALL OF ME
AND YOU GIVE ME ALL OF YOU
I GIVE YOU ALL OF ME
AND YOU GIVE ME
ALL OF YOU, OH

LYRICS
Feel connected
Something that’s human
Me and you can grow into absolute bloom

Splinter my mind
Put it back together
Maybe this time I will get it right
Drain all the blood that’s been filling my lungs
Coz I want to know what it’s like to breathe you in
What it’s like to breathe you in
What it’s like to…

Feel connected
Something that’s human
Me and you can grow into absolute bloom

Drain all the blood that’s been filling my lungs
Coz I want to know what it’s like to breathe you in
What it’s like to breathe you in
What it’s like to…

Feel connected
Something that’s human
Me and you can grow
Into absolute bloom

These paper knives
Only scratch the surface
These paper knives
They just can’t fix this

So open up my head
With your sharp edges
Because I want to…

Feel connected
Something that’s human
Me and you can grow into absolute bloom

LYRICS
As I stand here all I see
Is everything I left behind me
Everything I sacrificed
So much loss for just one fragile cause
I worked so hard but it doesn't work
So much loss for just one fragile cause

A flower wilting beneath the weight of this sinking ship
It pulls me down
It pulls me down away from you
And the loneliness it makes me stupid

Completely at the mercy
Of every form of insincerity

Maintaining this illusion makes me manic and weak
So I guess all that's left is for me to grit my teeth

Grit my teeth when they've just been broken
Soldier on in the face of fear
Too much is all it takes to be here
How much will it cost to persevere?

A flower wilting beneath the weight of this sinking ship
I can't keep drowning for this

LYRICS:
Lucy wants to write the next
Great American novel
She can’t even read the bottle
She says I might be a genius
Well, she could be a model

Didn’t think I’d get in
So I didn’t apply
Now I'm a drunk hanger on
Hitting on the younger guy

I buy booze for the Ivy League
With my television salary
They think they look up to me hah

I was left like coals in leaves and
I sparked up in winter’s breeze
And now I know it’s me who’s missing out

I’m missing out, missing out, missing out
I’m missing out, missing out, missing out
Missing out, missing out, missing out
(Now I know it’s me who’s missing out)

I was born with my foot in the door
And my mind in the gutter
And my guts on the floor
Holding the party line
Embarrassed all the time

I remember my potential
Before I skipped the fundamentals
Before I ran from safety
Hoping someone would chase me

I was left like coals in leaves and
I sparked up in winters breeze
And now I know it’s be who’s missing out

I’m missing out, missing out, missing out
I’m missing out, missing out, missing out
I’m missing out, missing out, missing out
(Now I know it’s me who’s missing out)

Missing out, missing out
Missing out, missing out, missing out
Missing out, missing out, missing out
(Now I know it’s me who’s missing out)

I’ve been someone to talk about
I wanna be someone to talk to
I’ve bitten off way more than i can spit out

Missing out, missing out, missing out
Missing out, missing out, missing out
Missing out, missing out, missing out
(Now I know it’s me who’s missing out)

I’m missing out
I’m missing out
I’m missing out (2x)

“Lowlife” lyrics:

I’m not gonna go out today
I wanna sit right here and wish the world away,
Cause I’m a lowlife, lowlife
I don’t care if the people stare,
I’m gonna stay right here in my underwear
Cause I’m a lowlife, lowlife

You know I get embarrassed most of the day
When I’m walking round Camden with a smirk on my face
Put my hand in my pocket to find some change
Buy a bottle of gin to get the memories erased
Cause you know what, life is extremely divisive
It’s a fraudulent razor for you to trim your sides with

Young, dumb, living off mum
That’s a line from a friend I thought I should bum
Now all the words are my own, but I don’t want you to judge
I thought inspiration was all about fun life’s been eating me up,
It’s poisoned my cup
And if I leave the house I’ll get hit by a truck

I’m not gonna go out today
I wanna sit right here and wish the world away,
Cause I’m a lowlife, lowlife
I don’t care if the people stare,
I’m gonna stay right here in my underwear
Cause I’m a lowlife, lowlife

In the world of normal people I’m a monkey
It’s painted on their faces that they think I’m a junkie
In the way that I dress
The people I bed
The way I express
The things in my head

I don’t go to the bar
I sit in the dark
I smoke a cigar
I play the guitar
I stay in my house
I put on my sounds
The neighbours tell me to turn it down so

I’m not gonna go out today
I wanna sit right here and wish the world away,
Cause I’m a lowlife, lowlife
I don’t care if the people stare,
I’m gonna stay right here in my underwear
Cause I’m a lowlife, lowlife

People come, people go
People high, people low
People stay, people change
People lie, people don’t

I don’t fulfill my potential, cause everyone around me is so self-referential (wanker)
Hypocritical maybe, a petulant baby
Wah wah wah shut up you’re driving me crazy
Call me a low life? That shit don’t phase me I’m alright on my own,
I don’t need you to save me

As a guy who grew up listening to BBC Radio 1 this is really epic. I filmed my first ever BBC Radio 1 Essential mix in my studio in London so you can watch it.
This is a tiny selection of the music that has excited and inspired me over the years i've been a DJ. This set might be something different to what people expect from me, for me the Essential Mix is about the music so i let it breathe some more.
Let me know what you think in the comments!
Enjoy the journey.

Lyrics:
Shook down
Aching to the core when ruptured powerless
We’d see red to horizon
If there were care left spare to give
Sanity’s swinging on a shoestring
Numb to epiphany
What gives in the dirty corners
Call it will, call it anything
Heartbroke and dreamin in a backseat
Living in a head, right in the skin
Sanity’s swinging on a shoestring
When shots fired too easily
Do we suffer only to recover
Coming up for air before the cycle takes me in
Suffocating, aspirations fading
Coming up for air until the cycle starts again
Wake up in another headspace
All’s well and immediate
It’s high time to live a little easy
And know who the hell we’re fighting for
Who’s down to sever that shoestring?
Who needs autonomy
So go kill your menace deep in your heart
Show some love and open your arms

Lyrics:
Turn down the lights
Turn down the bed
Turn down these voices
Inside my head

Lay down with me
Tell me no lies
Just hold me close
Don't patronize
Don't patronize

'Cause I can't make you love me if you don't
And you can't make your heart feel something it won't
Here in the dark in these final hours
I will lay down my heart and I'll feel the power
But you won't

And I'll close my eyes
So I cannot see
The love that you don't feel
When you're holding me

Morning will come
And I'll do what's right
Just give me 'til then
To give up this fight
I will give up this fight

'Cause I can't make you love me if you don't
And you can't make your heart feel something it won't
Here in the dark in these final hours
I will lay down my heart and I'll feel the power
But you won't
No, you won't

'Cause I can't make you love me if you don't
And you can't make your heart feel something it won't
Here in the dark in these final hours
I will lay down my heart and I'll feel the power
But you won't

'Cause I can't make you love me if you don't
