Lyrics:

I like him
Like him too
He my man
He my boo
He my type
He so cute
I want him
Want him too
(x2)

Hop in the whip hop in the truck
I do whatever i want
I’m not a hoe i’m not a slut
I like to fuck and i sure like to suck
I am that bold
Freezy like ice
I'm not a wife so
Talk to me nice
You ain’t my type
I don’t like you
You a broke boy
Look at your shoes
I'm the player
I am the pimp
All them boys
Make em the trick
All them boys
They on my shit
But all them boys make me sick

I do not see you taming me
Less then there entertaining me
They just tryna pa play with me
Play with me you pay the fee

I like him
Like him too
He my man
He my boo
He my type
He so cute
I want him
Want him too
(x2)

Dibble in this, dibble in that
Get all the head like i am a brat
Play with his balls when he up to bat
Make daddy real proud like i'm Kayla Pratt
I'm taking a shower, he making the bed
When i leave the city, i leave him on read
Go get the next, like i get the bread
He coming with questions, i call him the feds
He let me plead the fifth,
Cause he know this box a gift
Eating breakfast noyt @ tiffs
When i curve him he get stiff

I go beast mode
Ball like free throw
Game like cheat code
Pounds like kilo

I do not see you taming me
Less then entertaining me
They just tryna plpllay with me
You play with me you pay the fee

I like him
Like him too
He my man
He my boo
He my type
He so cute
I want him
Want him too

Lyrics:
O-O-Ovy On The Drums
Salud, mami

Conmigo no te equivoques

No sé si me escuchaste

Conmigo no te equivoques

No digas "Te quiero," mejor sé sincero (Ey)

Conmigo no te equivoques

KAROL G y Becky G
It's the real G's, baby (Jaja)
Ovy On The Drums

Common, Pete Rock - Dreamin' - Live Session | Vevo ctrl

The Auditorium Vol. - Out July 12, 2024
Album Pre-Save/Pre-Order: https://i.commonandpeterock.com/theauditorium

Five bucks says longtime rap fans got chills when they first heard Common and Pete Rock were working on a project. Chicago’s most poetic OG connecting with the revered Mt. Vernon hero behind “They Reminisce Over You”? C’mon, that’s an event. And maybe those chills became a bit more pronounced when the same fans heard “Wise Up,” the first volley from the forthcoming ‘The Auditorium Vol. 1.’. Boom bap echoes with a 2024 sheen, the track, and its very cool video, arrive with an old school gravitas driven by a modern sense of kinetics. “We don’t have to reach to make it sound like a throwback,” says Common. “We don’t have to reach to try to make it sound like it’s new and young. We’ve just got to be who we are and do what we love.” As is often the case, the Chicago MC's rhymes push a posi spirit while taking an unflinching look at the culture. No wonder he references being a “sleuth for the truth.” Can’t tell for sure, but it sounds like Rock’s got a sample from ‘The Odd Couple’ TV show theme smoothing out the track's refrain. The collab itself reminds that their individual aesthetics fit quite nicely, and when they came into our studio to share “Dreamin’," you could feel camaraderie driving the action, “from the stellar regions of the soul…”

Lyrics
Dreamin
Dreamin
Daydreaming and I’m thinking of you
Daydreaming and I’m thinking of you
Daydreaming and I’m thinking of you
Daydreaming and I’m thinking of you

Baby we can do it
Take your time do it right
I was hearing melodies and rhythms through the night
This was a dream that felt real, like a fight
What made it real was J Dilla was there in the light
A movement was happenin
H Brown was rappin it
Kool G and Polo talkin bout they back again
I seen Prince, he was time travelin
Through the Morris Day and Gladys Knights
Sheila E reminded me about the glamorous life
Ali was tellin me why he had to fight
The struggle he never left so we could have our rights
Biggie and Prodigy told me to grab the mic
I was shook
Ain’t no such thing cause when I touch dreams they become things
As the sun beams
I seen Queens like Latifah, Chaka, as I daydream with Aretha

Daydreaming and I’m thinking of you
Daydreaming and I’m thinking of you
Daydreaming and I’m thinking of you
Daydreaming and I’m thinking of you
Daydreaming and I’m thinking of you

It was all a dream
I was talking to Dr King
He told me to dream in ways that the prophets dream
Like the one he had when nobody could wake him
Or Nelson Mandela when prison couldn’t break him
Malcolm was in the window
He said As Salamu Alaykum
Told Barak to rock the nation again
He got my nomination
The population in prison was labeled as forgiven
This was a God dream
Hip hop was our religion
Stevie’s vision of ribbons in the sky
It’s the good life we was livin in the Chi
Seen Trugoy the Dove he begin to fly
Told him Pos and Mase De La will never die
Me and Yasiin was holdin rappers at bay
One, two checkin niggas like back in the day
that when Dr Angelou told me I should sing
A caged bird with brave words for higher things I got wings

Daydreaming and I’m thinking of you
Daydreaming and I’m thinking of you
Daydreaming and I’m thinking of you
Daydreaming and I’m thinking of you
Dreamin

Daydreamin and I’m thinkin of you
I was sittin by myself, thats what drinkin will do
I was nice, nice as I escaped the mean world
I’m tellin you, you the supreme, dream girl
If could interpret the way Joseph did dreams,
Then every one would be as close as it seems
Whether I’m with a woman or a microphone,
Ajile told me to dream but write my own

Daydreaming and I’m thinking of you
Daydreaming and I’m thinking of you
Daydreaming and I’m thinking of you
Daydreaming and I’m thinking of you
Dreamin

Lyrics:
Got a fire in my soul
I've lost my faith in this broken system
Got love for my home
But if we cry is there anyone listening?

We're the forgotten generation
We want an open conversation
Follow me on this road
You know we gotta let go

For all of the times that they say it's impossible
They built all the hurdles, the walls, and the obstacles
When we're together, you know we're unstoppable now

I'm not afraid to tear it down and build it up again
It's not our fate, we could be the renegades
I'm here for you, oh
And you're here for me too
Let's start again, we could be the renegades

They've been holding us down
They've been telling us to change our voices
But we're not part of that crowd
We made our bed and we'll make our own choices

We're maybe underestimated
But I know one day we will make it
Time to say it out loud
We are young and we're proud

For all of the lies and the burden that they put on us
All of the times that they told us to just because
We gotta fight for our rights and the things we love now

I'm not afraid to tear it down and build it up again
It's not our fate, we could be the renegades
I'm here for you, oh
And you're here for me too
Let's start again, we could be the renegades

Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
We could be renegades

Take a deep breath, close your eyes and get ready
Take a deep breath, close your eyes and get ready
Take a deep breath, close your eyes and get ready to fly

I'm not afraid to tear it down and build it up again
It's not our fate, we could be the renegades
I'm here for you, oh
And you're here for me too
Let's start again
We could be the renegades

Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
We could be renegades
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh

With the release of their fourth studio album, 1994’s Superunknown, Soundgarden were on top of the world. In 1994 alone Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden would all have number 1 albums. If you include late 1993, Nirvana had one too with their unplugged record As Soundgarden released their follow up in 1996, Down on the Upside, the band were teetering on imploding. Maybe it wasn’t surprising given that things had changed for the big seattle bands - alice in chains was limping along due to substance abuse, nirvana was done, and Pearl Jam were still embroiledi n their battle with Ticketmaster and still not doing music videos. Soundgarden were coming to terms with their success. In today’s video, let’s talk about why Soundgarden fell apart the first time.
Formed in Seattle in 1984, Soundgarden would blend metal and punk rock resulting in a sludgy sound. In 1987 they released their Screaming Life EP through fledgling Seattle label Sub Pop. They would release 1988’s Ultramega Ok on SST Recorde.. Then Soundgarden became the first major Seattle band from that era to ink a deal with a major label, signing with A&M Records. They released their major label debut in 1989 with Louder Than Love and returned in 1991 with Badmotorfinger, a record still held up as their best work by many fans. It was also by the early 90’s the band cemented their classic lineup with frontman Chris Cornell, guitarist Kim Thayil, bassist Ben Sheppard and drummer Matt Cameron. Though they were hailed as one of the big 4 bands from Seattle and the more experienced their peers - Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains enjoyed success much earlier than they did.
Thayil would tell Revolver "
"I remember the Nirvana guys wanting to be on Sub Pop, saying we were their favorite band," he continues. "The first time I met Kurt Cobain, I told him how much I loved their 'Love Buzz' single, and he said, 'Well, consider yourself our biggest influence.' These were the things that were important to us at the time."
Following the release of their third album 1991’s album Bad Motorfinger, guitarist kim Thayil recalled hearing several songs Chris Cornell had demoed for their follow up superunknown. These songs included spoonman, let me drown and black hole sun. He recalled thinking that there’s probably a few singles amongst those songs. It was at a metallica gig before superunknown came out that the guitarist spoke to metallica’s manager Cliff Bernstein who told him Soundgarden was following the same career path as metallica, telling him their next album would be their breakout hit and he was right. 1994’s Superunknown was massive, selling an impressive six million copies stateside and giving the band some of their most popular songs - black hole sun, spoonman, fell on black days, and The Day I Tried to live.
The tour for superunknown represented the first time the members of Soundgarden would do their own headlining shows with an extensive stage production. Drummer Matt Cameron would tell Greg Prato “For the most part it was pretty fun. Then towards the end of that tour, Kurt Died and i think the whole fabric of the group was starting to unravel a bit.”
Thayil would clarify that at this point in the band’s career, there wasn’t really any interpersonal tensions but rather it was stressful always being on the road and dealing with emotions without their support system especially after Kurt Cobain died adding “it wasn’t fair. We didn’t get to drive and be around our family during that period. We were supposed to be on the road and that’s when it sucked. People dying out the seattle music scene wasn’t supposed ot happen.”
Maybe foreshadowing the upcoming problems the band would face, the last date of the superunknown tour did not go well. Thayil would recall to greg prato Our last show was at memorial stadium in seattle - a really bad show. Chris’ voice was having a really fucked up time. When the show was over he just walked off stage got in a car and took off”
When it came time to begin working on their follow up album 1996’s Down on the Upside, the roles in teh band were slowly shifting. The group’s then manager and wife of Chris Cornell Susan Silver
