MUSIC VIDEO TIPS & TRICKS | FREELANCE VIDEOGRAPHERS Hotney 9 Streams • 4 years ago

Finally! A music video behind the scenes many of you have been waiting on for a while now! In this video i run through a behind the scenes on set with Bonfice shooting his latest single 'Self Made' (Full Music Video Link Bellow). This music video was shot in a one location, controlled environment inside of a house with the exception of a 30 minute meet up with the artist to capture the scenes with a car to add to the video days after the initial shooting happened. In this video i go in-depth of my gimbal movements, handheld movements, simple yet effective lighting techniques, how i vibe with my music video clients on set and how you really don't need many resources to push out some great music video content. Bonfice was the featured artist in one of the top viewed music video tutorials on YouTube (How I Shoot Rap/Hiphop Music Videos - Link Bellow) so it was awesome to finally take the time to recreate another awesome and informative music video breakdown. The final edited video turned out awesome and be sure to check it out! Comment down bellow if you'd be interested in seeing how i edited the video 'Bonfice - Self Made'.

Lyrics:
We represent destruction nigga, death, mayham, murder and madness nigga
You try me you gon’ die
You try the squad you gon’ die

Pourin up drank sippin’ wok by the pint
Rich nigga I buy you my friendship with the bank
My bougie bitch be actin like she loyal but she aint
Fell in love with a hood rat and she walk stank
My brother down the road wit a extendo on his shank
Feel like I can do whatever never say I can't
I won't move off my emotions imma always think
Tracker on his car catch him at the light & bang
Im a east side nigga with a bank roll
Used to call us country they don't want no gun smoke
I'm with the shit but countin money more fun tho
All the ops say they hard why they run for
All these choppas I can open up a gun store
Really street I ain't goin for the Gusto
Give you cash money I cant give no fucks tho
Buck shots hit his stomach now his guts gone

Walk that nigga down (x7)

Put your man down better not make a sound
Brand new Diamondback and it hold 100 rounds
I aint hit no kids cuz I walk my man down
I won't hit no kids imma walk my man down

AK or the SK
Late night broad day
223 change your heart rate
Nigga softer than a parfait
Used to serve in the hallway
Nigga sold me a bag it was all shake
Called him back like i want 8
Thought I came to shop but it was all take
Pussy you know what I’m on pussy
You only tough on the camera phone pussy
I aint finna rob you get your gamble on pussy
Yall the type of niggas we put hammers on pussy
Beef about a bitch you a tender dick rookie
I can't even cap his baby mamas shit gushy
Amiri jeans stuffed with the blues all Tookie
Used to sell the gas now i’m sellin all cookie

Walk that nigga down (x7)

Put your man down better not make a sound
Brand new Diamondback and it hold 100 rounds
I aint hit no kids cuz I walk my man down
I won't hit no kids imma walk my man down

This hood shit dont matter but when my nigga dies somebody gotta answer
Told him put his gun down and he didn't make it to another november
Told my boy leave town but he dont have the bread to really leave the gutter
And i'm starting to wonder, gotta find ways to not go under
Bro wants to kill again
Told him be patient you don't kill civilians
The drop will come back out if its written in
No we dont pray for war but if it comes niggas know what we built for
Niggas know what we built for

Shootouts in the winter
Bro got bigger
Finally came home but to no real niggas
Just dice and liquor his old girl
But he dont miss her
He aint the same he can’t be with her

Tell me how to cope right
So many dead friends your prayers for the whole night
Tell me how to grow right
Locked in the cell and you hearing that your bro died
New state of mind if a nigga trips dont waste no time
Stay alive stay alive
We spin and these niggas claim the crown
Bro wants to kill again
Told him be patient, these poor civilians
The drop will come back out
Back out
What’s written in
Will never miss
We’ll never miss

Bro wants to kill again
Told him be patient you don’t kill civilians
The drop will come back out if it’s written in
No we don’t pray for war
But if it comes niggas know what we built for
Niggas know what we built for

Grammy nominated, entrepreneur, philanthropist and now author, Fat Joe, joins Ryan, Fred and Channing for a conversation covering the release of his highly anticipated memoir, “The Book of Jose: A Memoir.” Taking a trip down memory lane, Joe opens up to the guys about the highs and lows of his career, parenting, philanthropy, miscues in his life and discloses some never-heard before moments and stories that peel back the layers of this young man who made it out of the Bronx.

From growing up poor, to losing friends in music and from the neighborhood, to his climb to the top of music and stardom to thoughts of taking his own life to forming a close bond with Big Pun to turning pain into inspiration and respect to the greats who came before him is all detailed in Joe's book that comes out today.

People see the end results and where he is now, but few understand the struggles and dark moments endured to get to this point in life. Although everything looks on the up and up now, Joe reveals his inner struggles and how he feels like there is a recurring shadow in his life that comes from betrayal and unexpected hurt. At his core, Joe feels he is a good guy doing bad things and he’s been working to set his legacy straight with each level of success and growth.

Fat Joe admits that his upbringing in the Bronx wasn’t ideal but his mother’s strength served as the glue for the family and the financial struggles he experienced as a child helped shape the man he is today and his unique appreciation for life and forgiveness. Making music changed his life and Joe credits hip-hop stemming from minority communities as an attempt to make light of oppression and find light in dark times.

Channing pushes back on his words, asking Joe where the desire to do bad things came from despite growing up in a loving household as he acknowledges that he did a lot of bad things, some that others knew about and some that no one ever found out about and he asks him how he got to that place in life. Opening up about one moment which changed Joe's perspective on life and made him move differently is revealed as he shares a story of betrayal by a person closest to him that forever changed how he moved.

The guys ask Joe what his take is on all the hate and animosity in the music world and why it translates to killing each other and taking out people in their own communities. Referencing the recent passing of Takeoff and the others who have passed in their communities is a very painful topic for Joe to talk about. Showing mutual respect and admiration for his mentee DJ Khaled and talks about their close knit bond and how he was there from the beginning of his career and ecstatic about where he is now in his life.

Favorite Song

I’m on the stage right now
Singing your favorite song
Look in the crowd and you’re no where to be found as they sing along
I say,
You look good without no makeup
No lashes even better when you wake up
uh-uh-uh
I see the look on your face
I see ya hiding the hate
I see ya looking for someone to scoop you right off of your feet
You wanna ride in a Wraith
You wanna go out on dates
You want somebody to come bring you flowers
Someone to talk to for hours
Wash your back while y’all sit in the shower
Someone to tell you “you’re beautiful”
Someone to tell you and mean it
Someone to tell you I love you everyday
And don’t got a reason
You want someone to bring you peace
Someone to help you sleep
Someone to pick you up when you feeling down feeling lonely
Need somebody
Who can make it better
Somebody
Who can open up those gates
Open up those gates to your heart
Only if you’ll let me
I’m on the stage right now
Singing your favorite song
Look in the crowd and you’re no where to be found as they sing along
I say,
You look good without no makeup
No lashes even better when you wake up
uh-uh-uh
I see the look on you face
I see ya looking for peace
I see ya tired of the hurt
Tired of the pain
Tired of the nights where you can’t get no sleep
I see you’re tired thinking bout if he cheat
See you’re tired thinking bout if you leaving
See you’re tired of being so tired
And ya damn sure ain’t getting even
Need somebody
Who can make it better
Somebody
Who can open up those gates
Open up those gates to your heart
Only if you’ll let me
I’m on the stage right now
Singing your favorite song
Look in the crowd and you’re no where to be found as they sing along
I say,
You look good without no makeup
No lashes even better when you wake up
uh-uh-uh

“We spoke out against racism, hunger, gangs, crimes, and turf wars, as we embraced all people with hope and the spirit of brotherhood. It’s just as apropos today.” - WAR

WAR, the original street band, was founded by veteran record producer Jerry Goldstein and rock legend Eric Burdon in 1969. Together with the original band members Lonnie Jordan, Howard Scott, Lee Oskar, B.B. Dickerson, Harold Brown, the late Thomas “Papa Dee” Allen, and Charles Miller, they blended many musical styles and influences. The musical laboratory that is WAR yielded 17 gold, platinum and multi-platinum awards, including the triple platinum ‘The World Is A Ghetto’ and double platinum ‘Why Can’t We Be Friends?’ and ‘Greatest Hits’, and hit songs "Why Can't We Be Friends?", "Low Rider", "Spill the Wine", and "The Cisco Kid".

WAR began playing live shows to sold-out audiences in the 1970s and continues their commitment to being road WARriors, touring over 150 dates a year to this day.
