Mile Phakphum - DAWN (“Shine” Original Soundtrack) [Official Music Video] Hotney 18 Streams • 1 year ago

“Dawn” conveys the emotions of pain, struggle, and hope experienced by multiple characters.
In this episode, each of them faces a moment of darkness, yearning for a ray of hope.

This song is performed by Mile Phakphum, the lead actor himself. With his distinctive voice and deep understanding of the character, Mile delivers a profoundly moving interpretation.

On the songwriting and production side, Robert Grace teams up with a crew of seasoned professionals — Joe Henderson, John Nathaniel, and Kris Gehringer — to craft a song that's polished, powerful, and emotionally resonant.

Musically, the song carries the nostalgic essence of 1960s ballads, blended with the warmth of acoustic guitar. This combination further amplifies the sense of sorrow and emotional depth within the piece.

Lyrics:

Oh the road stretches far through shadows and stone
Where the whispers of change are etched in bone
How many tears must water the ground
Before the seeds of hope are finally found

Oh the echoes rise but they’re never heard
They want silence, we want worth
Oh how many live will they take away
Before the dawn brings a better day

Oh the pain carves a path through valleys so deep
Where memories lie and promises sleep
Oh the night plays tune, a sorrowful song
Yet somewhere beyond, waits the light of the dawn

Oh the echoes rise but they’re never heard
They want silence, we want worth
Oh how many live will they take away
Before the dawn brings a better day

Brings a better day
Hey, hey, hey
Brings a better day
Hey, hey
How many lives will they take away
Before the Dawn brings a better day

✶ Lyrics |

Lyrics:
Yeah I don’t always feel it
But that’s when I need it the most
So I’mma keep on singing
‘Til my soul catches up with my song

There’s times when my hands go up freely
And times that it costs
There’s days when a praise comes out easy
And days when it takes all the strength I’ve got

So I’ll bring my hard-fought, heartfelt
Been-through-hell hallelujah
And I’ll bring my storm-tossed, torn-sail
Story to tell hallelujah
God, you’ve been patient
God you’ve been gracious
Faithful whatever I’m feeling or facing
So I’ll bring my hard-fought, heartfelt
It is well Hallelujah

Oh, I’ve wrestled with the darkness
But I’m trying to reach for the light
Yeah, the struggle keeps me honest
And it breaks down the walls of my pride

‘Cause faith isn't proven like gold
‘Til it's been through the fire
My head, heart and hands are feeling heavy
But that's when I lift them just a little higher

I’ll bring my hard-fought, heartfelt
Been-through-hell hallelujah
And I’ll bring my storm-tossed, torn-sail
Story to tell hallelujah
God you’ve been patient
God you’ve been gracious
Faithful whatever I’m feeling or facing
I’ll bring my hard-fought, heartfelt
It is well Hallelujah,
Oh, hallelujah, hallelujah

Hallelujah, Lord I need you
More than I need anything in my life
Lord won’t you free me
It ain’t been easy
Break all these chains, Lord

I’ll bring my hard-fought heartfelt
Been-through-hell hallelujah
I’ll bring my storm-tossed, torn-sail
Story to tell hallelujah
God you’ve been patient
God you’ve been gracious
Faithful whatever I’m feeling or facing
I’ll bring my hard-fought, heartfelt
It is well Hallelujah (Hallelujah)

Oh Hallelujah (Hallelujah)
Hallelujah (Hallelujah)
Hallelujah (Hallelujah)
Hallelujah

Jon Reddick - No Fear (Official Music Video) Hotney 18 Streams • 2 years ago

Download or Stream at: https://jr.lnk.to/nofearYo

LYRICS:

I got enemies at every side
It ain’t looking good, I ain’t gonna lie
Arrows flying, devil’s trying
To make me think I’m going down this time
You might think that I’d be afraid
Running scared with a shaken faith
But the God I know says it ain’t over
The God I know is gonna make a way

Yea, though I walk through the valley
I will have

No fear, no fear
The mighty power of Jesus
Is fighting for me here
No fear, no fear
The light of the world
Makes the darkness disappear
No fear
Not over my life, not over my life, not over my life
Not over my life, not over my life, not over my life

No fear when I’m walking through the fire
‘Cause I know who’s walking me through
No fear when the floodwaters rise
If I got my eyes on you

No fear, no fear
The mighty power of Jesus
Is fighting for me here
No fear, no fear
The light of the world
Makes the darkness disappear
No fear
Not over my life, not over my life, not over my life
Not over my life, not over my life, not over my life

Not over my family, not over my future
Not over my life, God’s over my life
Not over my battles, not over my struggles
Not over my life, God’s over my life

Yea, though I walk through the valley
I will have

Eyewitness to the Death of John Lennon | WABC-TV Special Hotney 18 Streams • 2 years ago

The murder of John Lennon on Dec. 8, 1980, was as devastating as it was shocking. And Eyewitness News covered the murder like no other news source, as it happened in our backyard, to a person who was more than just one of the most famous celebrities on Earth - he was our neighbor.

John Lennon lived at the Dakota, just a few blocks from our studio. Employees of Channel 7 considered him a friendly face they'd wave to -- he, Yoko, and their young son, Sean, would shop in the same shops and go for walks on the same streets. At least one ABC employee, Geraldo Rivera, was a close friend of the Lennons.

Our special "Eyewitness to the Death of John Lennon," hosted by Bill Ritter, interviews the big players in that story, both in front of the camera -- Geraldo Rivera, Ernie Anastos, John Johnson, Doug Johnson -- to those behind the scenes.

Indeed, we've perhaps never been more of an "Eyewitness" to a story - a Channel 7 producer, Alan Weiss, happened to be at Roosevelt Hospital after a motorcycle-riding injury when the mortally wounded former Beatle was carried in.

Having witnessed the fight to save Lennon, Alan managed to call the news into the WABC assignment desk, where the scanner was blaring about a shooting at the Dakota.

Soon, Weiss' news tip would reach Howard Cosell, who would break the news to the nation on ABC's Monday Night Football -- but not before debating whether he should.

At Channel 7, the newsroom was a whirlwind as the nightmarish story developed, and Ernie Anastos and Rose Ann Scamardella prepared to go on the air after the game.

The next week that followed, culminating in a historic tribute vigil in Central Park was unlike any other in New York, America -- or the Eyewitness newsroom.

Our John Lennon special tells the story that shook the world from a perspective you've never seen -- as it happened, moment by moment, with rare or just-discovered historical footage, all through the eyes of Eyewitness News.

"Eyewitness to the Death of John Lennon" is NOW STREAMING on ABC7's streaming apps on Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, and Android TV. To stream, search "ABC7 New York" in the app store.

The HEARTBREAKING Truth Behind Nate Dogg’s TRAGIC Loss Hotney 18 Streams • 2 years ago

Watch the uncut version on Patreon - https://www.patreon.com/SNURB

Nate Dogg, born Nathaniel Dwayne Hale, was a West Coast icon and a pioneer of G-funk, whose smooth, soulful hooks helped define an entire era of hip-hop. Emerging from Long Beach alongside his cousin Snoop Dogg and friend Warren G, Nate started out in the group "213" before breaking into the mainstream. His career skyrocketed with Dr. Dre’s The Chronic and the classic Regulate with Warren G, cementing him as hip-hop’s go-to voice for unforgettable hooks.

From “The Next Episode” with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg to “Area Codes” with Ludacris and “21 Questions” with 50 Cent, Nate Dogg’s unique vocals turned tracks into timeless hits. His collaborations spanned across the genre, teaming up with legends like Tupac Shakur, Eminem, and Xzibit. Known for blending R&B soul with a streetwise edge, Nate became the king of hip-hop choruses.

While his career reached legendary heights, Nate also faced legal and health challenges along the way. Despite these struggles, he left an indelible mark on music. But on March 15, 2011, Nate Dogg’s story took a tragic turn, closing a chapter on one of hip-hop’s most influential voices.
